Mario Party 3

Classic saved game names:
Create a new saved game file, but do not enter a name.The game will automatically name the file after a classic Nintendocharacter.

Change saved game names:
When you are about to select one of your saved gamefiles, press Analog-stick Down. Then, press A andyou can change the name of your saved game.

Easy coins:
Roll doubles on the dice after using a Mushroom forten coins.

Roll triples on the dice after using a Golden Mushroom for twentycoins.

If you have no coins, land on a Bowser space (or call him on theBowser phone and go see him). He will give you 30, 40 or even50 coins.

While you are on the Battle Royal map, after using a golden mushroomget all 7s. You will receive 50 coins.

Go to Waluigi's Island. There will be a place with Blue Spaces,but after a whole turnthey could change into Bowser Spaces, RedSpaces, Battle Spaces, "!" Spaces, or Game Guy Spaces.Almost every space can give you coins, except the Red Spaces.You can get many coins there, but you will have to escape fromthe place before they become Red Spaces or Bowser Spaces. Youcan get an easy way out after buying a Golden Mushroom from Toad.

With any character on any boardget about 80 to 90 coins. Then,go on the Game Guy Space. If you win the mini-game he selects,you can get at least twice as many coins. There is also one mini-gamewhere you can get ten times as much.

Taunt:
Press L during game play to hear your character'staunt. You can only do this while on game board, but not in mini-games.

Miracle Star:
Earn a S rank more than 8 times on the duel and boardlevels.

Super hard difficulty:
Successfully complete the game in story mode underthe hard difficulty setting. The super hard difficulty settingwill be unlocked in story and party modes.

Face on Mt. Mariomore:
Successfully complete story mode with any characterto place his or her face on Mt. Mariomore.

To get a gold face, successfully complete story mode under thesuper hard difficulty setting. Make sure that it is set with theall games (and not easy) option. You must finish will an "S"rank for everything, and not use any GameShark codes.

Game Guy's Game Room:
Earn the Miracle Star rank in story mode to unlockGame Guy's Game Room.

Easy mini-games:
To unlock the regular mini-games easily, save the gameafter a turn. If the game selects a mini-game that is new to you,play it. If not, reset the game and try again.

Bonus mini-games:
Successfully complete the game in story mode to unlockthe Backtracks, Waluigi's Island, and Stardust Battle mini-gamesin party mode.

Get all the 1 Vs. 1, 1 Vs. 3, 2 Vs. 2, 4 player, battle, and itemmini games to unlock the Dizzy Dinghies mini-game.

Collect over 1000 coins in Game Guy's Room to unlock the singleplayer Mario's Puzzle Party mini-game.

Waluigi Island:
When you have five Stars on your paper, Daisy willappear (Starguy has a crush on her) and say that she is the prettiestand that she will just about get the Star Stamp. You will answerno fair start arguing. The Star says "Duel on Backtracks- beat Daisy to get backtracks". When you have six Stamps,Waluigi will steal the seventh and you have to do a Battle Royalto win it. Win to unlock Waluigi Island.

In adventure mode, complete all the locations until you are onthe last level. Do not get blown up by the dynamite or you willlose all your coins.

Game Guy's Room:
To get into Game Guy's Room you have to be a MiracleStar (Get "S" ranks for everything including the finialbattle with the Millennium Star). After that, play in party modeand go the Game Room. Go to the red door and Game Guy should bein there. If Battle T is in there, then it is the other door.

Hint: Find Star positions:
When it is your turn, press R to view the map.Move around, and look for a lighter area than the scenery. A Starmight be there when the current Star is bought. Note: In SpinyDesert, it will only tell where a mirage or real Star may be.

Hint: Stop opponent from getting a Star:
When a character is about to get a Star, press Start.Select "Settings" and "Controls" change thatcharacter from the CPU to yourself. Select "No" thengo back to your original character. This is useful for Boos, GameGuy (make them lose), and Chance.

Hint: Character announcement:
Successfully complete the entire game with any characterand he or she will say that he/she is the super star. Check itin Peach's Castle in the Parrot Box #2.

Hint: Higher dice block numbers:
On your turn, when the floating die appears, it movesup and down. Press A when it is moving up. If done correctly,you will get higher numbers. Note: This works in the oppositeway as well, and that will give you lower dice block numbers.

Hint: Never let CPU player have stars:
Immediately before a CPU player lands on the star space,pause game play. Go to the controller setup and change yourselfinto that player, then change the CPU player that is going towin into yourself. When asked if you would like a star, decline.

Hint: Lose less coins when Boo appears:
Note: This trick requires a controller with a turbofeature. For example, if playing as Yoshi and "Watch Out!"appears, set A to turbo and the controller will zoom throughthe boxes with writing. When it is over, switch to your controllerto normal and continue.

Hint: Winning Mario's Puzzle Party:
To win at Mario Puzzle Party every time, hold Analog-stickDown during the entire game.

Hint: No bad moves:
When in a board game, go to the settings in the optionsscreen and set the game to save after every turn. If you makea bad move or a bad roll, reset the game and go back to the boardgame. You will get a chance to try again.
