Armored Core
First person view:
Press Square + Triangle + Start.Game play will be paused. Press Start to resume game playwith the new camera angle. Substitute Select in the codeinstead of Start for the Japanese version of the game.
Fixed camera view:
Press Circle + X + Start. Gameplay will be paused. Press Start to resume game play withthe camera fixed at the present location. Substitute Selectin the code instead of Start for the Japanese version ofthe game.
Alternate emblem backgrounds:
Highlight an emblem and enter the edit screen. Then,hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Select.
Change pilot name:
Enter the garage and highlight the "Change ACName" option. Hold L2 + R2 + Right,then hold X and quickly hold Square.
Return to default view:
To return to the default view, press Start topause game play, then press Start to resume. SubstituteSelect instead of Start for the Japanese versionof the game.
No limit bonus:
Complete over 100 sorties with a greater than 90% winrecord and an over all rating of 98% or more. Unlimited leg weightpoints, core weight points, and generator output points will beallowed. Note: Ignore the overweight warning.
Death bonuses:
Intentionally die with less than -50,000 credits. Thegame will restart from the first level with all items gained inthe previous game. Your pilot name will change to "Rebel"followed by three random numbers to confirm correct code entry.The first time this is done, the radar will become a grid systemand will detect incoming missiles. The fourth time this is done,the rear weapon may be fired while in motion. The sixth time thatthis is done, available energy will be doubled. Additionally,a ball may be fired from the laserblade by firing the blade, thenpressing Jump.
Hint: Sword wave:
Get Human Plus mode a few times. Draw your sword andpress X (jump) just before the downslash. If done correctly,you will fire the fabled "wave" that all of the higherranked ACs use. To fire the "blue wave of mass destruction",simply do this trick with the Moonlight blade. It can do over1000 AP worth of damage.
Hint: Multiple missile lock:
If you have a set of missiles or rockets, a laserblade,and an FCS with more than one lock-on, go to the test ,a mission,or vs. Mode. Lock onto an enemy with the rockets/missiles. PressCircle from a far distance. The lock-on square will disappear,come back, and lock on a second time. Do this a couple times untilit does not go any higher. When you shoot, you will shoot moretimes at once. For example, if you have the TRYX-QUAD FCS,youcan lock on up to four times. When you lock on four times andshoot, you will shoot four times as much as a normal shot.
Hint: Overweight override:
When you build your AC, you will notice that thereis a weight limit on the selected legs. To override this, justfinish the game so the overall % under system reads 100%. To dothis, you must complete every mission, get every secret part,and defeat every ranking Raven you encounter. Keep in mind thatwhile you can load any leg type with whatever you want after youget 100%, your speed will decrease about 2 1/2 for every hundredpounds that you are overweight.

Hint: Rocket launcher:
On one of the first missions when you are on a bridgeto destroy some MCs, look behind you. Right around the out ofarea part is a green rocket launcher.
Hint: Moonlight sword:
On the mission "Kill Struggle Leader", goto the part when the floor bursts open and you fall. Fall allthe way in and move around the narrow path to find the last andfinal laserblade called the "Moonlight". This swordis particularly strong and can reach attacks up to 1500.
Hint: Head piece:
On the mission "Guard Freight Train", blowopen the boxes in the lot to find a head piece. Its the same onethat Hustler One uses.
Hint: Missile launcher:
On the mission where you destroy a lock for Marukomo,go to all four corners of the area. A missile launcher can befound in one of the corners.
Hint: Generator:
On the mission "Destroy Plus Escapee" godown three levels from the building that you start in to finda generator. Its the best one in the entire game.
Hint: Guard Wharf Warehouse mission:
On the mission "Guard Wharf Warehouse" doa breech of contract by destroying the warehouse door and stealingthe radar.
Hint: Laser Gun Karusma:
On the mission "Destroy Fuel Depot", go tothe end of the second room where the fuel boxes are located. Lookaround on the top right corner for the Laser Gun Karusuma.
Hint: Back weapon missile launcher:
On the mission "Retake Air Cleaner", go toa gate in the ceiling for a back weapon missile launcher.
Hint: Small FC's part:
On the mission "Exterminate Organisms", lookbehind the queen organism to find a small FC's part.
Hint: Flame thrower:
On the mission "Destroy Intruders", thereis a flame thrower in a niche under the third or fourth bridgegoing down.
Glitch: Shoot through city building:
Equip the grenade launcher in two player split screenmode at the city location. Move right up next to a building andface directly at it. Fire a grenade at the other player's AC unit.The projectile will pass through the building without exploding.The building will also protect you from incoming fire. Note: Thisdoes not work if you are at an angle -- you must be facing itperpendicularly.
