Extra lock ons:
Equip your core with the laser sword and missiles.Begin game play and approach an enemy from a safe distance. Drawthe sword and press Up, Down, R1, L1to gain an extra lock on. Note: Up to six additional lock onsmay be accumulated.

First person view:
Press Square + Triangle + Start.Game play will be paused. Press Start to resume game playwith the new camera angle. Substitute Select in the codeinstead of Start for the Japanese version of the game.

Fixed camera view:
Press Circle + X + Start. Gameplay will be paused. Press Start to resume game play withthe camera fixed at the present location. Substitute Selectin the code instead of Start for the Japanese version ofthe game.

Return to default view:
Press Start to pause game play, then press Startto resume. Substitute Select instead of Start forthe Japanese version of the game.

Alternate emblem backgrounds:
Highlight an emblem and enter the edit screen. Then,hold L1 + R1 and press Select.

Edit pilot name:
Highlight the "A.C. Name Entry" option, holdSelect, and press X.

Continue from Armored Core:
Successfully complete the original Armored Coreand save the game. Load that game into Armored Core: ProjectPhantasma to start with your previously obtained parts andmoney.

You have to load a save from the first game to start with thePlus enhancements you had in Armored Core. It is not knownif you can get the Plus enhancements by loading a save in ArmoredCore: Project Phantasma that does not have any of the Plusenhancements.

Hint: Overweight override:
When you build your AC, you will notice that thereis a weight limit on the selected legs. To override this, justfinish the game so the overall % under system reads 100%. To dothis, just complete every mission. Keep in mind that while youcan load any leg type with whatever you want after you get 100%,your speed will decrease about 2 1/2 for every hundred poundsthat you are overweight.

Hint: Sword wave:
Get Human Plus mode a few times. Then, draw your swordand press X (jump) just before the downslash. If done correctly,you will fire the fabled "wave" that all of the higherranked ACs use. To fire the "blue wave of mass destruction",simply do this trick with the Moonlight blade. It can do over1000 AP worth of damage.

Hint: Taking missions:
When taking missions, check the sender. If you taketoo many from one company, others will stop sending you missions.However, after you complete the game you can still play the missionsand get the money. Then, all the missions will be available toreplay as many times as desired.

Hint: Defeating Phantasma Stinger:
Buy the arms that are bazookas. Dash on the groundwhile holding L1 or R1 and fire a continuous volleyof shots. You should defeat him in less than a minute.

Hint: The Final Battle: Defeating Phantasma:
In order to quickly do away with Phantasma, the weaponsand back weapons equipped have to have high Offensive Rating.Use the Large Missile Launcher acquired from defeating #3 in theArena. This unit has a attack of 9830 and the missiles followyour opponent until it crashes with something. Hopefully aboutthree consecutive impacts will be enough. Be warned, the rechargerate is 35 -- it is a good idea to blast away with a laser rifle(WG-XFwPPk has 1120, 100 shots) or the hand-held grenade launcher(WG-PB26 has 2200, 12 shots). Always remember to dodge his massive-lightattack, and return fire freely.
