Note: This game is also titled Digimon Tamers: Evolution Battle.

Select same Digimon twice:
Choose any Digimon at the character selection screen.Then, go back to the Digimon you chose and hold Select+ X.

Alternately, successfully complete the game then choose two playermode. Press L1 + R1 on controllers one and two toselect the same Digimon.

BlackWarGreymon:
Play the game under any difficulty setting withoutlosing a round (not a continue). During the fight with the lastDigimon before Reapermon, BlackWarGreymon will challenge you.Defeat him and Reapermon without losing a round to unlock him.

Gallantmon:
Enter KIMJOY as a password. In the Japaneseversion, enter DEGLUK as a password.

Imperialdramon (Fighter mode):
Enter LINMON as a password. In the Japaneseversion, enter NOWROM as a password.

Imperialdramon (Paladin mode):
Enter ROYBOY as a password. Alternately, successfullycomplete the game with both Veemon and Wormmon in first, second,or third place in single player mode. In the Japanese version,enter EVOMEN as a password.

Impmon:
Successfully complete the game with all three seasonthree characters in single player mode.

When using Impmon, press Triangle and Impmon will use Summon.Keep holding Triangle and the crystals will keep coming.They will act as a shield for a while, but will eventually bereleased.

MegaGaruromon:
Enter MINNYN as a password. In the Japaneseversion, enter EERRIT as a password.

Omnimon:
Enter SERIUS as a password. Alternately, successfullycomplete the game with Gabumon and Agumon in single player mode.In the Japanese version, enter NAGOMI as a password.

Reapermon:
Successfully complete the game once.

Sakuyamon:
Enter KENSAN as a password. Alternately, successfullycomplete the game with Renamon. In the Japanese version, enterSKYAKA as a password.

WarGreymon:
Enter QRIOUS as a password. In the Japaneseversion, enter ZFTLNM as a password.

In any level, choose WarGreymon. When you have a signature attack,hold R1. You will notice that his combo attack disappearsand blows up in the other player.

Get digivolved form:
To receive anyone's digivolved form, successfully completethe game with them.

Get Mega form:
To receive anyone's Mega form, successfully completethe single player game with that person. Note: You cannot be aMega in single player mode.

Young Digidestined:
At the character selection screen, hold L1 +L2 + R1 + R2 for young (or old) digidestined.Note: This only works with Wormon, Stingmon, Gabumon, Metalgarurumon,Agumon, Wargreymon, Patamon, Seraphimon, Gatomon, Magnadramon,and Omnimon.

Alternate music:
When you use the "Young Digidestined" codeand choose the Abyss stage, different music will play. If youcombine the Digidestined (first season and second season), itwill play various songs.

Hint: Defeating BlackWarGreymon:
Successfully complete the game once (you can continueat least once) to unlock Reapermon. Play the game as Reapermon(and do not use continues) to face BlackWarGreymon. Use Bone Dusterwhen he approaches you, and Grim Slasher when he turns around.Use his Tornado special when he is weak.

Hint: Defeating Reapermon:
Choose Wormmon and use Silk Thread (Triangle)or Stingmon and use Spiking Strike (Triangle).

As a rookie, do as much damage as you can and when you digiolvedo the same thing, but use R1 before your blast gauge isalmost gone.

Use these Digimon: Gatomon (Tailmon) or Patamon. Move right orleft by using Lightning Claw or Slamming Attack, then move inthe opposite direction still using that attack to eventually defeathim.

Hint: Easy win with Gatomon:
Use Catseye Hypnotism (Circle) then quicklyfollow up with Lightning Paw (Triangle). You will haveto keep doing this to win. Whenever your gauge gets full, KnockDown then digivolve and use special (R1).

Try to do this when your opponent is confused or at the beginningof the battle. Press Square(2), use Lighting Paw (Triangle),then Cats Eye Hypnotism or Square for a 5 to 6-hit combo.Sometimes when you are about to execute the final attack (Squareor Cats Eye Hypnotism) and you press Square, you will beable to do it two times, doing a 6 to 7-hit combo.

Hint: Easy win with Impmon:
Confuse the enemy (Square + Forward)when your bar is full to digivolve. As soon as they become confused,digivolve to Beelzemon, and use Chaos Flare. The opponent willnot be able to move while it is confused. Doing this will makeit easier to win.

Hint: Easy win with Reapermon:
In the Reapermon stage, as soon as the match begins,start with a Grim Slasher. Just before the Grim Slasher attackfinishes, do a Bone Duster attack. Your opponent will be confused.Go up to your opponent when he is confused. Do the combo againand he will be confused once more. Then finish off your opponentwith a Bone Duster attack.

Hint: Easy win with Renamon:
Press Triangle repeatedly to confuse the enemy.

Hint: Starting moves:
For best results when fighting Digimon, the followingare good starting and backup moves.

Agumon: Use Claw Attack (Triangle) and then when they getup, press Square(3), pause very briefly, then and pressUp + Square (a four combo).

Gabumon: Use Blue Blaster (Circle) and back it up withHorn Attack (Triangle). You can use it twice if desired.

Gatomon: Use Lightning Claw (Triangle) or Cat's Eye Hypnotism(Circle), then back it up with your physical attacks (tapSquare for better results).

Guilmon: Start with Rock Breaker (Triangle) and after theyget up, back it up with physical attacks (Square).

Impmon: Start out with Triangle and use Baddaboom (Circle).

Omnimon: Start out with Transcended Sword (Triangle), followedup by Garuru Cannon (Circle).

Patamon: Use Boom Bubble (Circle), Slam Attack (Triangle),and then physical attacks (tap Square for repetitive physicalattacks).

Reapermon: Use Grim Slasher (Triangle) and before the comboruns out, quickly press Circle for Bone Duster.

Renamon: If you are far away from them, press Circle forDiamond Storm, and run behind them so you can attack them fora 20 combo.

Terriermon: Use Terrier Tornado (Triangle), Bunny Blast(Circle), and then physical attacks (tap Square).

Veemon: Start off with Vee Punch (Triangle) and then VeeHeadbutt (Circle).

Wormmon: Use Sticky Net (Circle) then Silk Thread (Triangle).

Hint: General moves:
The following moves can be done by any Digimon.

Get close to the enemy and press Forward, Square.

Get close to the enemy and press Forward, Back,Forward.

Hint: Character's digivolved form:
Play the game, use no passwords, and use all Digimonin one player mode. All their digivolved forms will be in oneplayer mode under the rookie stages. They will have the same specialattacks and attacks as they would if you would have digivolvedthem.

Hint: Body disposal:
Play as player one in a two player match. Choose thelevel with all the conveyer belts and KO your opponent on thehatch that opens up. If timed correctly, you will hear the sirengo off and see your opponent's body go down the hatch.

Hint: Start second round faster:
When your Digimon wins and there is mumbling as theopponent falls, press Start repeatedly to start the secondround immediately.

Glitch: Float in mid-air:
Go to the machine stage with Guilmon as player onein two player mode. Finish the fight as Guilmon facing left andhe will roll into midair and not fall.

Glitch: Move through door:
Go to the top of the machine stage with any rookieto the side with the green lighted door (changes sometimes). Gothrough and you will appear on the other side.
