Hint: Get out of a moving car:
Press Triangle + Up when you drive andjump. You will get out off the car, and your car will drive fullspeed farther. Note: This cannot be done while the police arechasing you.

You can also jump out of your car when taking a turn. Press Up+ Triangle and you will jump out of your car, and it willkeep going.

Hint: Take a break:
Press Triangle while next to a chair. Afteryour character sits, press the Analog-stick to change thecamera angle. Press Triangle to get up again.

Hint: Stop faster:
Press Triangle + Circle. Press Triangle+ Square to stop even faster.

Hint: Sharp turns:
Hold Left or Right then press Triangleto make a sharp turn in any direction. U-turns are also easilyaccomplished this way.

Hint: Recover flipped car:
Hold Circle and alternately press Leftand Right to turn over a flipped car.

Hint: Brake torque:
Hold Circle and then press Square.

Hint: Peel out:
Hold Square + Circle to heat up yourtires, then release Square to peel out. Continue to holdSquare until the peel out has stopped.

Hint: Donuts:
Press Circle + Right (Lift) and you cando donuts.

Hint: Silent car:
Hold Triangle + Square while in a car.

Hint: Bail from flipped car:
If your car is flipped or on its side and still moving,press Triangle + Up and you will bail from it. Note:If your car is not moving, you cannot get out and you will wreck.

Hint: Trippy view:
Go to any city in take a drive mode at night. PressSelect(2) to switch to the second view. Start driving thenquickly and repeatedly hit L2 and R2.

Hint: Quick continue:
If you are being chased by the police in take a ridemode and your car gets wrecked the same time the police lose you,press Up + Triangle about five or six times, andwait five seconds, then press Up + Triangle again.You will get out of the car and can continue the game.

Hint: Reset felony meter:
After getting the felony meter raised, make a getawayand get out of the car. Get another car to reset the felony meterbefore a cop finds you in the same car. The felony meter is alwaysfilled when you are in a cop car.

Hint: Longer time for mission:
To get longer time for a mission, hold X justbefore the "Loading, please wait..." screen appears.Keep it held until the mission starts. You will have more timeto finish your objectives. This is especially helpful for themission in which you chase Jones' assassin.

Hint: Invincibility, immunity, and allcars:
Successfully complete the game in the undercover mode.

Hint: Chicago: Surveillance Tip Off: Easycompletion:
First, take a right on to the highway. Drive down pastthe first off ramp. Do the same thing at the second one. At thethird off ramp, get off the highway. Go straight down the street.Take a left at the second turn and go to the gray car on the sidewalk.Get into it to complete the mission. Note: This may take a fewattempts. Do not stop driving for any reason.

Hint: Chicago: Stopping police cars:
When a police car is coming in front of you, hit itdead center in the front. If you hit them hard enough, they willbe finished off in one or two hits. Be careful hitting too manypolice cars with the same car will kill you easily.

Hint: Chicago: Parked police car:
Go to Wrigley field and look around the park. At oneof the corners of the street you will find a parked police car.Note: Your felony bar will be at max.

Hint: Chicago: Crazy police car:
In the take a ride mode, have two police cars chaseTanner to the drawbridge with an area on the side of one of theopenings of the bridge. This area should have buildings on oneside and the river on the other side. There is plenty of roomto drive around. When you find the place, you should see a policecar roadblock on the opposite side of the river from where yourcar and the two police cars are located. Destroy one of the policecars and leave the other alone. After the first car is destroyed,get out of that area and lose the other car. As soon as you hearthe "We've lost him" message, get out of your car intoa different one. Drive to the same drawbridge that you were nearwhen you destroyed the first car. Get out of your new car andwalk to the middle of the bridge. The other police car will followyou as you are walking, and run circles trying to run you over.However it cannot harm you because you are not in a car. The policecar will only stop when it wrecks itself.

Hint: Chicago: Losing police:
When you are being chased by the police near Navy Pier,go there and try not to crash. Carefully go up on the platformthen go on the other side of it. The police will then say thatthey have lost you. Get out of your car and go to where to policelost you. He will still have his sirens on and will try to ramyou, but will goes right through you.

Hint: Chicago: Steal a fire truck:
Take a left and when you reach an intersection, takea right. Go straight to get to the gas station then turn left.Drive until you get to the end of the road. Turn left or rightand drive up and down the street (near the Meig's Field airport)until you see a fire truck.

When you see the fire truck, press Triangle at its doorto enter. Press R1 to activate its siren.

Hint: Chicago: Steal an armored truck:
Steal about seven cars. Then go to Wrigleyville. Takea right at the gas station and you will see an armored truck.Go up to it and press Up.

Hint Chicago: Steal a delivery truck:
Go to the highway and you will usually find a deliverytruck there. If it leaves the screen, you will not be able toget it until another one drives by.

Hint: Chicago: Secret car:
Head north and go to the Wrigleyville area and findWrigley Field. Go to the northwest end of the ballpark. Park yourcar, get out. walk over to where it says "Tickets" andpress Triangle. A secret area located in the southeastcorner of the ballpark will open. Return to your car, drive aroundto the southeast corner, and drive through the now opened gateand into the ballpark. Drive over to the ramp, get out of yourcar, walk up the ramp, turn right, and follow the walkway to thesecret car.

Hint: Chicago: Get a lot of air:
Drive straight in the Chicago level until you reacha draw bridge. Backup and go up at full speed before the drawbridge goes up too high.

Go to Navy Pier on the east side of the map. Drive to the Ferriswheel on the west side; there is a ramp to get up there. Startfrom the road and go.

Start the game in take a ride mode in Chicago and choose one ofthe faster cars. When the game starts, wait for about two secondsbefore blasting forward (north) as fast as possible. Do not hitanyone or slow down and you will reach the drawbridge as it isgoing up. True "Blues Brothers" air time will follow.After landing, keep hauling -- turn left at the next street, goto the second street over, and turn left again. You should beable to hit another drawbridge just as it is coming up. To getmore air time, go to the east side (Navy Pier) where the amusementpark is located. On the north end of the park, there is a rampthat you can drive up to get to the Ferris Wheel. Get a big runningstart at that ramp from outside the park boundaries and you willnearly land in the lake.

Hint: Chicago: Fall off a bridge:
Drive onto the gray bridge and park in the middle ofit. When its starts to shake, get in your car. In a few seconds,you will fall off.

Hint: Chicago: Air field:
Press Start and go to the map. Look for WrigleyField and look next to it. You will see a picture of a plane.Go there and it wil be blocked. Go to the Navy Pier, and use thesecret car to jump in the lake. If done correctly, when the gameresets you will end up on the runway, being chased by a Learjet.Do not let it hit you or you will get maximum damage.

Hint: Chicago: Unlimited time in survivalmode:
When you start, hold Circle + Right todo a 180 and head behind you. Straight back and to the left aresome trees. Weave in between them to slow down pursuing cops.When you get to the buildings, turn down the small alley to theleft and head back out towards the road you started on. Watchout for a cop that is near the road sometimes. Go right down theroad, over a bridge, and left into the warehouse area. Once insideand without cops immediately behind, you will be safe -- no morecan re-spawn in here. Note: This is extremely hard and may takea couple of tries to accomplish.

Hint: Chicago: Reset felony level and fixdamage on secret car:
After you unlock the secret car in Chicago, if youhave too much felony drive to the tickets counter and press Triangleas you did before. When you find and get into the car again youwill not have any felony and any damage will be fixed.

Hint: Chicago: Drive on two wheels:
Drive the secret car at full speed. Hold Circlethen hold L1 and turn to either the left or the right.When the car starts to slide sideways, lock up the brakes by holdingTriangle + Square. This should lift the two tireson the inside of the spin off the ground. Once this happens, stopturning the front wheels and quickly get off the gas before thecar rolls over. Once on the wheels, not the side of the car, balancethe car by steering, and slowly accelerate to drive along. Thisis difficult to do, but it is possible to drive like this for15 or 20 car lengths with some practice.

Hint: Havana: Secret car:
Drive towards the tunnel located at the west end ofthe city. Just before the tunnel is a road on your left. Driveto the end of the road to reach a wall. Turn right and about onethird of the way down, you will find the switch next to some treeson your right. Get out of your car, walk up to the switch, andpress Triangle to open a secret area. Get back into yourcar, turn around, and head back to the road you just came off.You will see that the gate is now open. Drive in and down, ignoringthe left turns. Keep driving to the end, then turn right and followit down, making continuous left turns. When you get to the bottom,turn left again then right, and left once more. Follow that tunneldown to the end to find the secret car on a risen platform. Youwill see the switch on the right of the platform, on the wall.The secret car is the Mr. Bean car.

Go to the secret car area. Do the same as you would to get thecar as normal, except go past the opening on the road to the corner.You will see the point you get to after obtaining the car. Godown it, and you will be in the secret car area. Note: If it doesnot work at first, enable the "Invincibility" cheatand try again.

To get the secret car easier, follow the previous directions,but instead of going underground and through the halls, just goaround the underground opening. There will be a hole in the groundwhere you can fall through. If you do not hit the car off theplatform, then you can just be raised back up to the surface.If you do knock it off, then you have to find your way out byfollowing the directions to get inside in reverse.

Hint: Havana: Bail from car:
This trick works best with the secret car in Havana.If you are drive really fast and turn a corner, make sure youget out of the car before it flips. If it does flip, do not getback in.

Hint: Havana: Using a roof as a ramp:
Drive to the tunnel and pass it. Keep driving and youwill soon see a house on the right. If you go fast enough, youcan ramp off the side and get big air.

Hint: Havana: Drive on the roof:
Go to one of the islands. Once there, look on yourmap and find a gray area. If you do not see it, you are on thewrong island. Go to the area, and it should be a fort completewith cannons. Go to the end of the road to find a wall with tworamps facing sideways to you. Drive up one. On the right, youshould see a small building on the ground. Drive through the openingand land on the roof.

Hint: Havana: Ride a wheelie:
Choose the Mini Cooper and while holding Circle,run into a pole by the headlight. If done correctly you shouldbe able ride a wheelie as long as Circle is held. Note:You will have no control while doing this. Do not attempt thiswhile being chased by the police.

Hint: Havana: Steal a bus:
Go to Capitollo and drive around the blocks. Eventuallyyou will see a large civilian type bus. Be careful as it can bedestroyed quickly if it gets hit in the side hard. If you a policecar head-on with the bus, it will go flying across the street.

Hint: Havana: Coach:
Go to the castle area or the start of the tunnel mainarea (land side) to find a coach. Press Triangle at itsdoor to enter.

Hint: Havana: Disable police car:
Get The Bobtail and speed, then turn around and runright into his front end.

Hijack a truck and hit a police car head on at full speed to instantlytake it out.

Hint: Havana: Get rid of police cars:
Go to the ferry and park just besides the ramp on theferry side. When the cops are chasing you, they should jump theramp and fly into the water. They should drive around below theferry for a short while before dying. Leave your car on the ferrybecause there will be a roadblock in the warehouse.

When you start the level, on the right there will be a littlehole. Go through it and the police will not usually go in there.If they do, you can easily kill or lose them there.

Hint: Havana: More time in survival mode:
When you start, go straight and slightly to the leftweaving between some trees (to slow down pursuing cops). You areaiming for the monument on the hill ahead. You should cross theroad and climb the hill to it, just next to the left edge. Brakehalf way up and stop at the top. The following cops will launchover your car repeatedly. Stay close to the left edge of the platformor they will hit the tower in the middle and fall on you.

When you start, go straight and slightly to the left weaving betweensome trees (to slow down pursuing cops). You are aiming for themonument on the hill ahead. You should cross the road and climbthe hill to it, just next to the left edge. Brake half way upand stop at the top. The following cops will launch over yourcar. When they are on the other side, head off the left side ofthe platform and into an alley. Quickly turn left in the alleyaround the dumpster and follow the edge of the wall down to thecorner. Stay at this location. The cops will try to get to youand may do so after some time. However, if you were fast enough,they will get stuck outside the alley or on the other side ofthe dumpster.

Hint: Havana: Felony that can be takenaway:
To get a felony that can be taken away go to Havana,and get the van. Follow a police car while honking. If done fora long enough time, the felony meter will rise just a little bit.It will rise even more if honking continues. To get rid of thefelony, just drive around obeying the laws. If the felony meterstarts to flash it cannot be lost.

Hint: Havana: Do a willy:
Get the secret car in Havana. When a cop taps you inthe front end, hold Circle.

Hint: Havana: Cat walk with the secretcar:
Start take a ride mode in Havana and use the secretcar. Drive up to a wall head on at a normal speed. After hittingthe wall, press Circle to make the car go on the back twowheels. The car will stay like this until the wheels stop peeling.This looks best during replays. After doing this, try it off theback of other cars on the road at high speeds.

Hint: Las Vegas: Secret car:
Take the first right turn and follow it down. Turnleft to go to the Tropicana area. Turn right at the second street,then take the first left turn. Follow the "S" curveand stop at the crosswalk. Look left to see a gate and a building.Follow that building with the four cones in front of it. At theend of the building is an opened gate. Turn in there and you willsee the switch next to the fence at the end of the building. Getout of your car and walk over to the switch. Press Triangleto open the gate you first saw. Get back in your car and drivearound into the now open area. The secret car will be behind thebuilding in front of you. The secret car is the Mr. Bean car.

The secret car is a Ute.

Hint: Las Vegas: Secret area:
After unlocking the secret car, go to the street andturn left to get back on to it. Take that street to the end andturn right. Follow this street to the next intersection and turnleft. When you turn left, you will see a building, a fence anda wall. Between the wall and the next building is where you turnto go to the secret area.

Drive south to the airport on Koval. Turn east off of Koval (usingthe overpass). Drive south towards the airport, along the mosteasterly road on the map. After the road curves to the west, lookto your left for an alley that leads behind the building. It willbe marked with pylons and a slow sign. Carjack a truck (recommended)or car. Drive over the ramp to jump the wall to the secret area.

There is a secret area in Las Vegas close to tha airport. Beginby going straight from your starting location. Turn left at thefirst turn, then keep going straight on that street (Koval). Keepgoing until you see a big crane. Then, look to your left and finda building with flags on it. Follow that building to the end.You will see a small detour sign. Go into the place that saysthat you cannot enter. Try to drive as fast as you can, as youare going to have to jump on a ramp to get into that area. Onceyou jump over the fence, the message "You've unlocked a secretarea" will appear.

There is a secret area in with some jumps and other things. Findthe airport. At the very bottom and to the far east should bea long road that curves at the bottom. Start at the western pointon the road and go east, away from the airport. Before the roadturns to the north, look left (south) as your go. You should seea few signs that say caution and detour on them. Follow that roadbehind the buildings and you will reach a jump. Go off the jumpover the wall and you will be in the area.

Hint: Las Vegas: Invincibility cheat:
Go to Take a Ride mode and choose Las Vegas. When youstart, take the first right and stay on this road. Keep goinguntil you pass Flamingo Road. If you are facing south look toyour left. There will be a white building with red trim with "DollarSlots" there. To the left of the sign is a store called "Wiley'sPharmaceuticals". The switch is in front of the "99Cents" sign. Walk up to it and press Triangle. Thecheat will be unlocked in the secrets screen under the game playoptions. When the confirmation message appears, exit the game,go to "Options", then select "Gameplay", then"Secret". Select "Invincibility" to activatethe cheat.

Hint: Las Vegas: Lose the police:
While driving in Las Vegas, down mid-Strip, you willsee that there are walkways that go up and over the road to theother side. If you are getting chased by the police and you comeacross one of these, jump it smoothly. At the very least you willgain a few seconds on your pursuers. However, most of the timethe police will crash into each other trying to go up it, or theywill run into one of the walls on the sides of the steps.

Hint: Las Vegas: Find Ambulance easily:
As soon as you start the game, select the map and lookfor downtown. Drive to downtown till you reach the center. Oncethere, you can find ambulances in abundance. You can even encounterthem at the entrance to downtown.

Hint: Las Vegas: Steal an ambulance:
Make a U-turn when you start and go straight. Takethe fourth turn on the right. Drive up and down that road (airportarea at the top of the map) until you find an ambulance.

Press Triangle at the ambulance door to enter. Press R1to activate the siren. Note: A white limousine may appear insteadof the ambulance, depending on the choices made during the game.

Hint: Las Vegas: Flip the ambulance:
Unlock all the cheat codes, go to Las Vegas, and choose"Invincibility" and "Immunity". Select anambulance as your car. Go to a and try to drive off so that youflip the vehicle on its side. Once the ambulance is on its side,get into any other vehicle and ram into the ambulance. Make surethat you only hit the roof. The ambulance and your car shouldfly through the air, and spin and flip about.

Hint: Las Vegas: Full size SUV:
Go to Lakeside and drive around the lake and roadsaround it. You will find a gray SUV.

Hint: Las Vegas: Steal a semi:
Get the limousine in the casino area and drive it tothe drive-in movie. Go to the small projection building and pressTriangle. You will get a semi in take a ride mode.

Hint: Las Vegas: Ring doorbell and entergarage:
Select take a ride mode and Las Vegas. Go to Lakeside.When you find a large tan house, a white garage door, a red roof,with four doors together, press Triangle and you will hearthe door bell ring.

Walk up to the right side of the garage door and press the button.The garage door will open and you can go inside.

Hint: Las Vegas: Opening garage:
Go to the lower Strip and drive to the bottom left.Go through the little path and turn left. Find the garage witha button on the right side. Press Triangle and it willopen.

Hint: Las Vegas: Enter airport:
Select free ride mode and use a car to get to the airport(check your map). When you arrive, go to the building near therestaurant. There are many chairs located there. Go to the middleof the building in a car or on foot, then just walk towards it.If you are at the correct location (middle), you should be ableto walk trough the glass wall and exit normally. Be careful --do not walk towards the center of the building because you mightfall trough the floor and drown, just like in water.

Hint: Las Vegas: Good survival mode time:
To get a very good time in survival mode in Las Vegas,find a bridge that takes people from one sidewalk to another.Drive up the stairs and turn so that you are in the middle ofit. Just wait there while the police figure out how to follow.Once they are up on the bridge with you, it will be hard to getdown because them hitting you. You should receive a great timeif you are lucky. It takes the police some time to find you.

Hint: Las Vegas: Good survival mode points:
Go to the lion statue and let a police car knock youover the garage. This may take a few times, but when you do this,you will get a high score.

Hint: Las Vegas: Doing tricks:
Go to the ghost town. Go towards the outer part ofthe town. You should find a bridge with train tracks. This areahas hills, pyramids of barrels, and other things. You can 4X4and do other cool things in this area.

Hint: Las Vegas: Easy car flipping:
Go to the ghost town in to the north in Las Vegas.Drive on the dunes, lots of speed, and drive up a sand dune ata slight angle. As soon as your car goes flying, bail out. Itshould fall right through the ground. After it pops up and bouncesa few times, it should either lay on its side or be balanced onits roof.

Hint: Las Vegas: Spin out of control:
Go to the ghost town. Drive east of that to find traintracks. Follow the tracks north to reach a train parked in a tunnel.If you hit it, your car will spin out of control. Go as slow asyou can you will still spin out of control.

Hint: Las Vegas: Big air:
Go to the crosswalks that go over the road. Turn aroundand drive at least half a mile away. Turn around and drive atmaximum speed toward it, and try avoiding any cars. Jump out inthe air because sometimes you will nose dive into the ground andflip.

Hint: Rio: Secret game:
Turn your car around, follow the street to the end,and turn right. Follow this next street to the end, and turn right.After you turn right, there will be some buildings to your right/At the end of those buildings is a fenced in area. Follow thefence, stop at the last section, and look left. You will see theswitch next to the building. Turn your car around and park. Getout of your car and walk over to the switch. Press Triangleto open a secret area. Get back into your car and follow the fence.About half way down you will see two rows of palm trees. Thatis the entrance. Drive in to reveal the secret game, around theback of the building. This secret game can also be unlocked bywinning the Undercover mission.

Hint: Rio: Secret game two:
When you leave the first secret game, turn right andback onto the street. Follow that street and take the third leftturn. Follow this next road and take the second exit. At the endof the off-ramp, make a U-turn and follow the street between theon and off ramps. Follow this street past the first right turnand to the fence. The switch is on your right, next to the fence.This secret game can also be unlocked by winning the UndercoverMission.

Hint: Rio: Immunity cheat:
You start by facing the interstate. Make a U-turn andgo the other way. Turn right at the third street, which will takeyou past the big lake. Immediately after the lake is an intersection.Turn left there to find a building with a garage door and a regulardoor. That building should have barbed-wired fence at the topof it. To open the door, you need to go to the huge building tothe right . It is black with white windows. There is a door onthe very left side of this building, which is facing the otherbuilding you are trying to open. Push Triangle at thatdoor and to unlock the immunity cheat for no police. To accessthis cheat, select "Game Settings", then "Cheats"at the options screen.

In a level in Rio, you are required to steal a cop car from theimpound. Go to the same area in Take a Ride mode. Opposite theroller door where you drive out, there should be a side of a building.Go up to it. There will be three doors at that location. Go upthe left one and press Triangle. a message should appearstating that you have unlocked a cheat. Pause game play and exitTake a Ride mode. Go to "Game Settings" on the optionmenu and go to "Cheats". "Immunity" shouldnow appear.

Hint: Rio: Secret car:
Look at the very top of the map and find a part ofthe road that winds upwards like the following:________/`````````________

While traveling on this curved area, search for a switch on thenorth side. Use it to open a passage to the area behind the fence.Cruise around to get back there to find a blue semi.

Hint: Rio: Fire truck:
Go to to Lagoa Radrigo de Freitas (lake) and go aroundto find a Fire truck. Press Triangle at its door to enter.Press R1 to activate its siren. Note: A black limousinemay appear instead, depending on choices made in the game.

Hint: Rio: Stop the hitman:
When you have to stop the hitman in Rio, get in yourcar as fast as possible and drive to the road he turns on to.Get right in front of him and do not press the gas. Just steeras he pushes you and he will die in a matter of seconds.

Get in front him and keep going until you reach the mountainsidethen slow down. If he rams you, he will take more damage thanyou will. Keep ramming him and he will eventually die.

Hint: Rio: Good survival mode time:
When you start, there will be a raised platform toyour right. Go under it and you should reach stairs that leadup to it. Take the stairs and get behind the two pillars at thetop. Stay so that the middle section of you car can be seen betweenthem. The cops will take the stairs and fly between the pillars;over you, and off the platform. After that remain there and theywill not be able to get to you.

Hint: Rio: Secret dock:
Go to the mountain pass. When at the starting line,turn around and drive until you see a brown fence on your right.Drive very carefully and slowly around the rocks. You have togo partially off edge. If you start falling, press Circleto burnout onto path, then go to dock. If you fall off, you willdrop and hit the dock once before getting a game over.

Hint: Save Jones:
To stop the hit man quickly and easily, hit him intothe water. Follow the quickest route to the water, near the 90degree corner. If you are fast enough, you will get there at thesame time or a slightly before the hit man turns the corner andcomes toward you. Hit him on an angle, and try to drive him overthe beach into the water. He will quickly get stuck, and you willhave stopped him without having to chase him all over town.

Hint: Avoid police chases:
Drive like you are one of the city cars and the policewill not follow you unless you hit a car or building.

Enable the "Invincibility" cheat. If you are in a vanor a slow vehicle and the police are too fast, turn around andhead straight into them. Try to crash them. If done correctly,your map will go white and you will be free.

Steal a fire truck and the police will not chase you. If you hitany poles, cars, or anything he will chase you.

If you are in a slow car, try to find a hidden driveway . If youhide in it , the cops cannot find you and they should eventuallycrash and wreck.

If you are not being chased , but you want to be protected , lookfor an armored truck. It should be bluish/gray. Also try gettingschool buses,

You can avoid police chases by acting normal, and not doing anythingyou should not.

When going the wrong way on a highway ramp, get a few cars ina traffic jam and go through. Go and do not stop on the highway.Note: You will get slightly damaged.

When you encounter a cop, keep revving the car slowly until youpass him. Note: This only works about 35% of the time.

To pass up a cop without getting into a chase, drive very slowuntil you are close. Then, get next to him and carefully tap Xand slowly pass him. A controller with an auto-fire feature makesthis easier. Enable the auto-fire, get near him, then hold Xto slowly overtake him. Note: This requires practice.

Enable the "Silent car" trick when a cop is near you.You will almost be invisible to the police. You can do this withevery cop you encounter. Note: Make sure that the cop has notseen you yet. If the cop has seen you already, this will not work.

Hint: Flying police car:
When being chased by a cop, go very fast and get behinda car. Let the cop hit you. You will hit the car, bounce back,hit the cop, and the police car will go flying. Note: This mustbe timed correctly with enough speed.

Hint: Destroying police cars:
In take a ride mode in any city, when being chasedby cops move very close to a pole, tree, or another car. The poleworks the best. The cops will most likely hit them, especiallyif they are close behind you. They seem to veer off to the rightslightly. Once they smack into something and you keep going, mostlikely they will lose you. If not, repeat the trick. If done correctly,press R2 + L2 to look behind you to see the copscrash into the object. Practice is required for this trick. Alsoenable the "Invincibility" cheat to make it easier.

Hint: Avoid roadblocks:
To get past a police roadblock, just drive on the sidewalk.

Hint: Take a ride mode: Getting out ofwreck:
If you total your car in take a ride mode, you canget out of it if there are no cops in pursuit.

Hint: Take a ride mode: More cars :
As you steal and use various cars throughout the game,they will be unlocked in the Take A Ride mode. This includes firetrucks, buses, police cars, etc.

Hint: Take a ride mode: Secret car:
Unlock the secret car in any level. When the "Youhave unlocked the secret car" message appears, pause gameplay and exit. At the main menu, enter the game options, select"Save settings", and save a new file for the secretcar. Whenever you start the game, remember to load the saved settings.Note: When ever you save a car, make sure there is a separatefile for each car. The secret car is a black and yellow stripedsports car.

Hint: Checkpoint mode:
In checkpoint mode, you can speed, run red lights,and do anything that would normally get you arrested, withouthaving to worry about cops chasing you. You cannot get out ofyour car and steal another one. The only way you can lose in checkpointnide is to wreck your car.

Hint: Avoid donuts:
Do not press Circle unless you are on a straight-away.If you turn with holding Circle, you will do a donut.

Hint: Bootleg move:
When a cop is pushing you sideways through grassy terrain,hold Circle button to do a 180 and face in the oppositedirection. You can ditch the cop. This works very well in Havana.

Hint: Get a lot of air:
When you are being chased by the police and you hitany kind of jump, look behind you. Wait directly on top of thepolice car's shadow. When he lands on you, he will go flying andyou will be shuffled to the side. You can do the same trick ontoparked cars, but you have to bail out of your car or else youwill just hit them.

Hint: Cop destroys your car while you areoutside:
Enable the "Invincibility" cheat, and getchased by a cop until they make a road block. Do not hit any copcars in the road block. Destroy the cop car that was chasing youearlier. Your map will flash white, meaning you are not beingchased any more. Go up to one of the cop cars in the road blockand tap it lightly, then immediately get out of your car. Thecop will keep on hitting the car you were in, even though youexited. This may not always work, but may be repeated as manytimes as needed.

Sometimes the police car will chase you everywhere instead offocusing on your car.

Hint: Scared police:
Note: This trick works best in Chicago. Choose anycar, with no cheats enabled. After getting chased by the cops,and once their cars are dead, get out of the car and walk towardsthe roadblock (if available) before the other cops see you. Allof the police will be out of their cars, and will be kneelingdown pointing their guns. Walk past the row of cops and look behindyou to see that they are now pointing their guns straight at you.If you get too close, they will run away.

Hint: Electric car:
The electric car is blue with a buckskin convertibletop.

Hint: No moving cars:
Collect almost every car that can be chosen at thecar selection screen. Find a place to put these cars, such asthe police station in Rio and the garage in Vegas. When the carsare in a safe place, do not go too far or they will disappear.Once you have collected most of the cars, all of the cars thatwere driving in the streets will be gone. Also, if you steal apolice car, no police will drive in the streets. If you want thecars back, just walk or drive far away from the stolen cars.

Hint: Vibrating car:
Crash a car into a building or object. Then get intoanother car, hold Brake and look at the car you just crashed(at a certain spot). If done correctly, the car will start tovibrate.

Hint: Rolling hub caps:
Drive fast and take a sharp turn while braking. Youmay see a hub cap fall off and start rolling.

Hint: Control first person view:
When using a Dual Analog controller in analog mode,you can use it to look up and down while out of your car in firstperson view.

Hint: Matrix-type replay:
Select any mode and fly off any ramp or objectbefore the "Out Of Tape" message at the bottom of thescreen. Select "End mission" and then go to "CameraDirector". Go to the scene where you jumped off and pauseit in mid-air. Choose the "Rotate camera" option androtate the camera. Rotate it slightly horizontally then play thescene for one second. Keep doing that until you hit the ground.Rewind to the beginning and watch your Matrix-type scene.

Glitch: Stuck camera:
Hold L2 or R2 and press Selectwhile in the third person view. Then the camera will get "stucksideways" when you release L2 or R2.

Glitch: Use secret cars in multi-playermode:
Unlock the Chicago secret car and save it to a settingsfile. After it has been unlocked, go to take a ride mode and havethe secret car selected in the picture. However, do not use it-- press Triangle to go back to the main menu and go tomulti-player mode. If done correctly, you should be able to press"Previous" and find the secret car. Note: Once in thegame, the car will appear glitched.

Glitch: Overlapping car sounds:
In take a ride mode , get out of the car you startwith and get into any other car. As soon as you get in, quicklyhold Circle to burnout. If done correctly, you will burnoutand hear the car starting at the same time.

Glitch: Disappearing vehicle:
When you unlock secret areas or secret games are drivinga bus, school bus, or van (Havana), or any other big vehicle otherthan a regular car ,it will disappear from the game until yourestart it.

Glitch: Floating person:
In take a ride mode go extremely slow towards the backof a chair with someone sitting in it. Tap the back of the chair.The chair will shatter. Immediately hit reverse and the personwill be sitting in mid air with no chair. This must be done veryslowly or the person will run away.

Glitch: Drown on land:
Go up to a chair that is facing a building. Press Triangleonce to sit and slide, then press Triangle again to slideand stand up. You will now go inside the building. If you walkaround enough, a message will appear stating that you drownedand the game will restart.

Glitch: Shadow:
Look closely while Tanner in running. His shadow isholding two guns, but Tanner is not holding anything at all.

Glitch: Flashing shadow:
Get out of your car and stand still. If you look closely,you can see Tanner's shadow start to flash. If this does not happen,try turning and you will eventually see his shadow flashing.

Glitch: Disappearing hubcaps:
When you get into a car, one or more of the hubcapsmay disappear. Once you get out of it, they will reappear.

Glitch: Police car stops:
Follow a police car and about a minute later, it maypullover to the side or it may not drive at all, creating a trafficjam. You cannot steal it and if you break the law, the cop willgo after you. This will not always work.

Glitch: Turn parked police car 90 degrees:
To get a police car to turn a 90 degree angle whenhe is parked, tailgate him until he finally stops and start honkingyour horn. The cars behind, will also start to honk. Keep doingthis until he turns 90 degrees.

Glitch: Drive through overpass:
Get to a location where the overpass joins to the ground.Go underneath the overpass at that spot and drive straight forthe connecting point. It will appear as if your car will get stuckor crushed. However, if you keep driving your car will go throughthe overpass and you can keep going. This can be useful as a shortcutduring missions.

Glitch: Drive through train:
Get a fast car and go to the place where you playedthe mission with the train. You will see two locomotives. Tryto hit one of the locomotives with your car. One locomotive willpush you all the way back and your car will get a lot of damage.The other locomotive will not seem to be solid when you hit it.It will appear as if you are still going with your car, but youare not moving, except for your wheels which will still be turning.When you try to brake, you will need some time before you stop.

Glitch: Walk through cars:
Get out of your car. Go up to another car and try tosteal it. Do not stop the car. Immediately when it begins to passyou, and making sure the car does not stop, try to steal it fromthe side. If done correctly, you will go through it. Note: Thisonly works some of the time.

Glitch: Fixed front end:
Enable the "Invincibility" cheat, drive atfull speed, and run head on into another vehicle. Hit this vehiclerepeatedly, completely destroying it. Normally you would not beable to drive a vehicle in this condition, but the invincibilitycheat now allows you to do so. Get out of your vehicle, enterthe destroyed vehicle, and start to drive. The instant you hitanother object, it will snap back to its original mint condition.

Glitch: Drive through buildings:
Select any level with a hill. Drive to the hill. Aimyour car towards a building immediately before you jump the hill.Then, while you are in the air, jump out of your car by pressingTriangle + Up. Watch your car go flying throughthe building or get stuck halfway.

Glitch: Invisible chairs:
Run over a chair and exit the car. Walk up to the placewhere the recently destroyed chair was located and press Triangle.Tanner will sit on the chair even though it is not there.

Glitch: Flying boxes:
If you see any cans or boxes with two or three morebelow holding it up, only smash into the bottom one with yourcar. Do not hit the box in the air or it will not work.

Glitch: Walk in buildings:
Do the "Invisible chairs" glitch, sit downon the chair that was closest to a wall, then stand up again.Eventually, Tanner will step forward through the wall and youwill be inside the building. Rio is the easiest city to do thisin.

Glitch: Chicago: Fall through the ground:
Drive straight in the Chicago level in take a ridemode until you reach a draw bridge. If it is up wait, until itstarts going down. When it is half way down drive at full speedover it. Press Triangle + Up to get out of the carwhile it is in the air. Watch the car as it goes down -- it willappear as if it fell through the ground. Note: Sometimes it reallydoes fall through the ground. All of the game's ending boundarieswill also glitch, so cars will appear to just fall out of nowhereseem to disappear into the street.

Glitch: Chicago: Floating character:
Play the Chicago level and go directly to the drawbridge.It should be only a quarter way up. Go over it. When you are inthe middle of the bridge, turn and get out of your car. It shouldkeep going and then turn over. Turn around and start walking upthe bridge. When you start sliding down, press Triangleand you will be floating while the bridge goes up. You will thenfall down but your car will be fine

Glitch: Chicago: Go under the freeway:
In Chicago where the exits are located, right at thetip of the corner were it starts to turn and the highway continues,get out of your car. Walk to it and you should be under the freeway.Note: This does not always work at every single point of the exit.

Glitch: Chicago: Go through barriers:
Select the Chicago level and let the cops chase you.Stop along any barriers in the level while they chase you. Sometimesif you are hit hard enough into the barrier, you will go throughit.

Glitch: Chicago: Misspelling:
Look above the ticket booth at the Wrigley Field atthe big red sign. The sign should say "Wrigley Field, HomeOf The Chicago Cubs" but instead says "Wrigley Field,Home Of The Chicago Clubs".

Glitch: Chicago: Walk on people:
When try to get the secret car in Wrigley Field, parkyour car on the pitcher's mound facing home plate. Your entirecar must be on the pitcher's mound. Get out of your car and goup the stairs. You can pass through the last block on the rightof you -- go through it. Note: Do not stand in one place too long,or you will drown.

Go to Chicago in take a ride mode. Go up to Wriggleyville andfind Wrigley Field. Go up to the northwest side of the stadium.Repeatedly press Triangle in front of the booth that reads"tickets". Then, go down to the southwest side and headinto the stadium. Get out of the car and go up the ramp, similarto what is done when getting the secret car. Stop when you getnear the top. Then, turn to your right and run into the side ofthe ramp. If done correctly, your character should go throughthe side and run out into the crowd. He can walk around on thepeoples' heads.

This glitch can be done, even if the secret car is not on thepitcher's mound. Simply go up the stairs and you can go throughthe block to your left (while facing stairs at the top).

Glitch: Chicago: Disappearing cars:
Successfully complete the game and unlock all cheatsand cars. Go to Chicago and enable the "Immunity" and"Invincibility" cheats. Select the fire truck as yourvehicle, and go to the Wrigley Field area. You must use the samefire truck as the one you started the level with. Once you getto Wrigley Field, go to the switch below the word "Tickets",which is the one that unlocks the secret car. Get out of the firetruck, and flip the switch. If done correctly, your vehicle, andall other vehicles, should disappear for brief period of time.Your fire truck will not return, but all the other vehicles will.

Glitch: Chicago: Moving lights:
Steal a fire truck in Chicago, turn the sirens on,and press Select to change to the in-car view. Get somespeed and jump over a half-open bridge. The red-flashing lightswill appear in the top of the screen when you land. You can alsolook left or right to see the lights.

Glitch: Chicago: Strange screen:
Drive any car to to the bridge that lifts up. Havethe police chase you while the bridge starts to lift. Going atfull speed, ramp the bridge. When you land you should get a glitchedview. You may need to do this multiple times before it happens.Note: Make sure the bridge is at a low but good ramping height.

Glitch: Chicago: Stuck train:
Go straight from your starting position. Take the fifthleft. Follow that road until you reach the downtown train station.You will see a track heading toward Lincoln Park. Follow thattrack until you see a wall guarding the rest of the track. Justbefore that, you will see a ramp. go up it. If you fall throughthe platform, you are on the wrong side. Once you are on the platformwait for the train. The first train will appear and go normally.The second one will appear and pile up into one car. After abouta minute, it will start shaking back and forth. The third trainwill do the same thing.

Glitch: Havana: Floating cars:
After getting in the secret car in Havana, the platformwill rise above the ground. Go back down the same way you wentto get to the secret car, and you will see that the platform itstill up. Look at the base of the platform. If appears that ifyou walked towards it, you would fall down in a small area. Howeverwalking across it results in you hovering in mid-air.

Go to where the ferry is located, on the mainland. Jump the rampand press Triangle + Up to exit the car. The carwill go in the water. Look, and the car will be floating in thewater.

Glitch: Havana: Make two cars from one:
Go to the undercover game. In Havana, play the "hijackthe truck" mission. After you hijack it, when you go to thegarage there is a blue and white car inside. Hit it and anothercar will appear from it.

Glitch: Havana: Drive through buildings:
In Havana, drive to the fort in the very northeastcorner of the map (on the island). At the eastern end of the fort,on the north wall a little past the last orange house, is a littlewhite "crack" (bad polygon joint) in the wall. Driveinto the wall and you will go through the building to the otherside.

Glitch: Havana: Enter Mini-Cooper:
When you are trying to get the Mini-Cooper car in Havana,go to the location where the car appears. Turn around and backup. You will see a glitch and the car. Get in the car and driveaway.

Glitch: Las Vegas: Drive through buildings:
Select the Las Vegas level and let the cops chase you.Go to an area where there are six or seven little shack-like structures.They should be right off Flamingo or Tropicana. Stop next to oneof the buildings. Let the cops hit you. There is a chance youwill go flying in the air and through another building or shack.

Enable the "Invincibility" cheat and choose Las Vegasin survival mode. Park sideways against a building and let thepolice cars hit you at maximum speed. Note: This does not alwayswork.

Glitch: Las Vegas: Fall through the ground:
In the Las Vegas level, drive by one of the overheadcross walks in the Chevy Silverado. Drive up it at a very fastspeed and jump out immediately after you launch. Your truck willgo under ground and pop out again.

Glitch: Las Vegas: Drown on land:
In Las Vegas, there is a train track at the end sideof the ghost town. Follow the train track until you reach thetrain. Get out of your car and enter the train. The game willsay that you drowned, but place you back in your car.

Glitch: Las Vegas: Fixed front end:
Play in Las Vegas during the day with the Challengerand the "Invincibility" cheat. Hit a car from behind,and take a look at the front of the car. Your headlights shouldbe smashed in. Keep holding the look back buttons (R2,L2) and hit another car from behind. The front end shouldnow be fixed.

Glitch: Las Vegas: Flying replays:
Go to Las Vegas in the survival driving mode. Whenyou start, there is a walkway going over the road. Drive straighttowards the right corner of the walkway were the stairs stop.If done correctly, your car will fly up in the air. You can makesome incredible replays by getting hit into it, or if the copshit it and fly in the air with you.

Glitch: Las Vegas: Car message while onfoot:
In the Las Vegas level, stand in front of a movingpolice car while on foot. Press Triangle and the "Changecars and get out of there!" message will appear. If thatdoes not happen, stand next to the passenger side door.

Glitch: Rio: Fall from water:
Enable the "Invincibility" cheat in the RioLevel. When you start, drive straight into the water. Keep drivingand the water will come to an end. You will fall off and die.

Glitch: Rio: Fall and die:
Go to the place where you unlock the secret game. Getout of your car and go the open space just before the one withthe switch. Walk straight and turn right. You will continue towalk as if on land, but if you drive you will fall and die.

Glitch: Rio: Floating cars:
Drive up a bridge and direct the car to the water.Press Triangle + Up to exit the car while it isin the air. The car will go in the water and then float.

Glitch: Rio: Free roaming:
Just above the Cosme Velbo is a squiggly circle ofroad. Inside the circle is a low valley with water at the bottom.Drive there and fall off. Jump out of your car, and if you landon the dark brown area, you cannot turn around and walk back out.However, if you turn around and then turn back (facing the water),you can walk backwards out of the valley and continue playing.

Glitch: Rio: Use other places as your garage:
Go to the location where you played the mission inwhich you had to drive the limo to the mansion. In part whereyou have to stop and take the limo, you start from a garage whichyou can use in take a ride mode to park your cars. You can alsouse police station parking place to put your cars inside.

Glitch: Rio: No police:
Take any car and drive to the place called Utica (checkthe map). The place is small, but there are no police, cars, ordisturbances. The only things you can see are pedestrians andbuildings. If you have a big felony, the police will not appearhere, unless you get spotted and they start pursuing you.

Exit your car anytime after two cops are chasing you. After youexit the vehicle ,the cops will continue to chase the empty carand pound it until it is destroyed. The cops will then usuallycome after you. Their cars will pass right through you, but ifyou are near any kind of low wall, they will knock you throughit. You can also run around places that you cannot get to in thenormal game. Be careful with the water, as it can still drownyou. Note: This cannot be combined with the "Infinite Damage"and "Destroy Other Vehicles Easily" GameShark codesfor this to work.

Another glitch happens at the ferry boat in Havana, Go as fastas you can down the road to the ferryboat. When you get to theramp at the ferry, press Triangle to exit the vehicle,If the cops are chasing you, your car will launch completely overthe deck into the water on the other side. The cops will stopchasing you and the felony meter will be cleared.
