Level select:
Press Square(5), Triangle(7), Circle(3)at the title screen.

Invincibility:
Pause the game and press Triangle(2), Right,Left, Right, Left, Down, Left.A sound will confirm correct code entry. The code may be enteredagain to return to normal mode.

Maximum power:
Pause the game and press Up(2), Down(3),Left, Right, Left, Right, X,Circle. A sound will confirm correct code entry. Afterthe game is resumed, maximum power (except for shields) will beavailable. Both players will be powered-up in a two-player game.Enter this code is original Parodius mode to get a shield.

Special mode:
Successfully complete Parodius 2 and a specialmode will be unlocked on the main menu.

Saving the game:
After losing, allow the timer to expire, and returnto the title screen. Choose the "Save" option at thebottom, press Start, and confirm the save. The currentbutton configuration will also be saved. The same process canbe used with the "Load" option to resume an old game.
