Hint: Training methods:
To succeed in the game you will need to make your monsterlive long. To do this is quite easy. First, select the monsteryou want and take them to the ranch. Select a monster which hasa long life span or a monster that has a sub breed which has along life span, such a Pixie/Plant etc. When trying to make yourmonster live long, stress is the key. The lower the stress, thelonger your monster lives. Use this method for monsters to livelong -- up to about 8 years old. Note: LD = Light Drill, HD =Hard Drill, ML = Mint Leaf, NO = Nuts Oil, -- = Anything.

Hint: Money with a Sueki Suezo:
If you need money, first go to the shrine and use theMonster Rancher 1 CD. This should result in a Sueki Suezo, a monsterwith excellent stats, except for speed. Use this monster whenbattling in a free-for-all. If it wins, you will get money andperhaps an item. Note: This monster lives only for one week. Ifyou need more money, unlock it and battle again.
Hint: Moves with Suezo/Hare:
If you get a Suezo/Hare, every time that it goes toa training it will learn a new move, unless you have already masteredall the moves from that training area.
Hint: Phoenix Feather:
On the first expedition to Kawrea Volcano, if yourmonster is intelligent enough it will find a Phoenix Feather there.
Hint: Get a Centaur:
After you complete the Major Four and the Legends Cup,go to the Mandy Errantry. Complete the Errantry you will not fightthe monster you chose. However, your monster will return witha spear. Your monster will then go crazy and fight a monster thatis a bird from the waist up and horse from the waist down. Afterthe battle is over, go to the town and combine two monsters anduse the spear as your secret item.
Hint: Get a Dragon:
Get a monster with a rank of B. You will eventuallybe invited to a competition. It is a fight against a Dragon. Youalso may need fame of 80+. Have all of your monster's stats upto at least level 5 or 6, very high speed, and strong techniques. Also, use a stimulant just before the fight. For example, Nageel.
Hint: Get Phoenix again:
Use the following steps to get Phoenix again afterit is retired or flies away. Take the disc from the PC game Dune2000 from Westwood Studios to the shrine and you will receivea Phoenix with higher stats than the original one obtained fromthe Fire Feather. Note: An original Phoenix has to be obtainedbefore receiving one from the disc. To get an original Phoenix,go on an adventure to Kawrea volcano (pre- or post-eruption).Search the volcano. One of the items that can be found is a FireFeather. Take it to the lab and use it as a secret ingredientcombining any two monsters to get the Phoenix.
Other CDs that will unlock a Phoenix at higher stats than theoriginal are Frente-Marvin and Saviour Machine-LegendPart 1.
After unlocking a Phoenix with a Fire Feather you can use ShakingThe Tree by Peter Gabriel to get another Phoenix which isstronger than the first.
You can get the Phoenix again by using the CD Brak PresentsThe Brak Album Starring Brak.
Hint: Get a Wracky:
Increase your fame up to 100 and defeat the major 4.
Hint: Completing the big four tournaments:
Go to the jungle expedition and get at least one GoldenPeach (two is recommended), then go to the shrine. Put in theMonster Rancher 1 disc to get a Sueki Suezo that has amazingstats, but only lives for one week. Give the Golden Peach(es)to him. This will increase his life span three to five years perGolden Peach. Work on his speed and it will be easy to advancethrough the classes and complete the big four tournaments withease and earn money.
