Goal scored or fight won sound effects:
Hold Triangle after scoring a goal or winninga fight to hear a random sound effect (hockey horn, air horn,fireworks, or crazed fan).
Hint: Three minute power-plays:
First, get into a fight, but do not punch the otherplayer right away. Push towards him, then keep tapping Triangle.Your player will grab his jersey and punch him. If your playerwins, he will get a five minute major for fighting, and you willget a two minute minor for roughing. After your player serveshis two minutes, you will have a three minute power-play. If youscore on that power-play, the player will stay in the penaltybox because he was serving a major.
Hint: Easy goal:
Pause game play in single player mode, go to the controllersoption, select the other team and pull their goalie. Play on theirteam for at least twenty seconds. Their goalie will be pulleduntil you put him back. This works in season mode, and duringthe playoffs.
Hint: Slapshot:
Skate over to the opposing team's goalie with one ofyour teammates, but do not get too close. Then with someone onyour team besides yourself, pass the puck to the other person.Just before the player gets the puck, press Shoot to geta slapshot with the player being passed to. Note: The two teammateshave be at opposite sides of the arena and not very close together.
Hint: Change the difficulty setting duringa season:
Select "Season" at the main menu and choosethe desired difficulty setting. Keep that difficulty level highlighted,press Start, load an existing season saved game, and continuegame play.
Hint: Best team:
The best team in the game consists of these 25 players.Although Roy, Hasek and Brodeur are the best goalies statistically,for some reason Dallas has the best goalies in the game.
