Ridge Racer Type 4
All cars:
Press Start to pause game play at the half waypoint in the first race in Gran Prix mode. Then, press Square(3),Circle(4), Triangle(2). Note: Press Triangle(3),Circle(4), Square(2) in the Japanese version ofthe game.
Four player mode:
Connect two PlayStations via a link cable. A "LinkBattle" mode that allows a simultaneous four player gamewill appear.
Bonus vehicles:
Unlock all 320 cars in the game. The Pac-Man character,which can run at 252 km/h, and the Sony Eat'em Up car may nowbe selected in time attack mode.
Extra Trial mode:
Successfully complete the game in Gran Prix mode.
Motion blur effect:
Press Triangle in replay mode to toggle a specialmotion-blur effect.
Bird:
At the seventh track (Heaven And Hell) in grand prixmode, press Left, Right(3) during the pre-race countdown.A bird will appear over your head when the race begins. It willfollow the track from start to finish. Note: It will not appearin the replay.
Bonus tracks, cars, and music (Ridge RacerHigh Spec Demo):
Finish in first place in all time trial tracks andbeat the time in all the time attack tracks to unlock the fourreversed tracks, eight new cars, and a bonus song. This will alsounlock another ending after the replay and other music.
Andore Genesis Cup:
Win all the races in grand prix mode as the ItalianSolvalou team with either the Assuloto or Lizard drift type car.
Bosconian Cup:
Win all the races in grand prix mode as the ItalianSolvalou team with either the Terrazi or Age Solo grip type car.
Klonoa Cup:
Win all the races in grand prix mode as the FrenchJapanese Pac Racing team with either the Assuloto or Lizard drifttype car.
Mappy Cup:
Win all the races in grand prix mode as the FrenchMicro Mouse Mappy team with either the Assuloto or Lizard drifttype car.
Pac-Man Cup:
Successfully complete grand prix mode.
Valkyrie Cup:
Win all the races in grand prix mode as the FrenchJapanese Pac Racing team with either the Terrazi or Age Solo griptype car.
Wagyan Cup:
Win all the races in grand prix mode as the FrenchMicro Mouse Mappy team with either the Terrazi or Age Solo griptype car.
Quick start:
During the countdown at the start of a race, accelerateto keep the RPM gauge at the 12 o'clock position. Shift up tofourth of fifth gear while keeping the RPMs at that level. HoldL2 + R2 when the countdown ends to get off to aquick start.
Rage Racer information:
Use a memory card with a saved game file from RageRacer to place your old team information on the cars in RidgeRacer Type 4.
Soundtrack:
Play the game disc in an audio CD player. The voiceand music from the game can be heard on tracks two through nine.To hear additional music from the game, listen to tracks two andabove on the Hi-Spec demo disc.
