Tekken 3

Fight as Kuma:
Complete arcade mode once. When selected, he will bea giant panda. To fight as Kuma the brown bear, press Trianglewhen selecting him. They both have the same moves.

Fight as Juila:
Complete arcade mode with two characters.

Fight as Gun Jack:
Complete arcade mode with three characters.

Fight as Mokujin:
Complete arcade mode with four characters.

Fight as Anna:
Complete arcade mode with five characters.

Fight as Bryan:
Complete arcade mode with six characters.

Fight as Heihachi:
Complete arcade mode with seven characters.

Fight as Ogre:
Complete arcade mode with eight characters.

Fight as True Ogre:
Complete arcade mode with nine characters.

Fight as Panda:
Highlight Kuma at the character selection screen andpress Circle.

Fight as Tiger:
Highlight Eddy Gordo at the character selection screenand press Triangle. Alternately, successfully completethe game with eighteen characters.

Fight as Mukojin's Wife:
Highlight Mukojin at the character selection screenand press X or Circle.

Fight as Doctor Boskonovitch:
Select Tekken Force Mode from the main menu. Your firstgoal is to fight Heihachi's "Tekken Forces" all theway to the Mishima Fortress, where you will hopefully get to fightHeihachi Mishima and defeat him. When you have accomplished this,you will get a copper key. Do this three more times to get thesilver and gold keys. The third time you defeat Heihachi, a messagesaying "Final Stage Challenge" should appear on thescreen. You will then go to the Underground stage where you mustfight the Doctor. Not only is he very tricky, but the 60 secondtime limit makes him even harder to beat. Defeat him to unlockhim in arcade mode and the Underground stage.

Complete Tekken Force Mode four times and defeat him at the finalstage. He will be playable in all modes including arcade mode.

Alternately, battle on two player versus mode between 50 and 120times, if you already have unlocked all characters besides Dr.Boskonovitch.

Fight as Gon:
Play in survival mode and get at least third placein the ranking list. Enter GON as a name to unlock him.

Complete arcade mode using Doctor Boskonovitch. Then, select arcademode and press the D-pad off either side of the characterselection screen. Alternatively, defeat Gon under "Ball mode"or play survival or force mode until prompted for initials, thenenter GON

Successfully complete the game with ten characters in arcade modeand unlock Tekken Ball Mode. When starting Tekken Ball Mode, yourfirst opponent will be Gon. Defeat him and he will unlocked inall modes.

In round 5 or 6 of arcade mode, get a KO after only losing 5%of your energy. You will fight Gon in the next round. Defeat himand complete arcade mode to unlock him as a playable character.He appears just off to the right of the screen on the top rowof characters in arcade mode.

Alternate character and mode release:
There is a another way of releasing extra charactersand game modes. As you accumulate battles in versus mode new featuresand characters will be unlocked.

100 Battles : Kuma unlocked
150 Battles : Julia unlocked
200 Battles : Gun Jack unlocked
250 Battles : Mokujin unlocked
300 Battles : Anna unlocked
350 Battles : Bryan unlocked
400 Battles : Heihachi unlocked
450 Battles : Ogre unlocked

Fight against Panda as a Boss:
Select Tekken Force Mode and highlight Kuma and pressTriangle at the character selection screen. The Boss ofthe backstreets will be Panda, since you are playing as Kuma.

Unlocking Gon and Dr. Boskonovitch easily:
Set the game on easy, one round, and unlimited time.Play in arcade mode and on the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventhround, allow your opponent to take all but five percent of yourhealth before defeating him. If done correctly, the announcerwill say "Great". Gon or Dr. Boskonovitch will be youropponent in the next round. Defeat them to unlock them as playablecharacters.

Defeat Gon in Tekken Ball mode to unlock him in all modes.

Tekken Ball mode:
View all endings of the ten base characters to enablethe "Ball Mode" option -- complete the game ten times.

Special attack in Tekken Ball:
When you use a special attack on the ball (for example,Blazing Inferno for True Ogre), it will glow slightly and youwill see an exclamation mark. However it will not do any damageto your opponent when it hits them.

Hidden characters in Tekken Ball:
If you have unlocked Tekken Ball Mode without unlockingany hidden characters at all (e.g. using a GameShark code), then,including defeating Gon and unlocking him, any other charactersyou fight in Tekken Ball who you have not previously obtainedcan be accessed if you defeat them.

Tracking ball:
In Tekken Ball Mode, when someone fires an attack ballat you, press the buttons for a throw move when it is close toyou. The ball will glow. Kick or punch it and the ball will goup into the air and hit the opponent. This attack can be blocked.

Theatre mode:
Unlock each character, including Panda, Tiger, DoctorBoskonovitch, and Gon, and view their endings. The "Disc"and "Sound" options under "Theatre Mode" willnow be available.

Visiting stages:

Amusement Park: Get Xiaoyu as challenger in training/her styleclothes.
Punk Alley: Get Paul/Bryan as challenger.
Mexican Temple: Get Julia/Heihachi as challenger.
Labrotory Courtyard: Get Nina/Anna/Gun Jack as challenger.
Grassy lands: Get Eddy/Tiger as challenger.
Martial Arts Dojo: Get Forest/Kuma/Panda as challenger .
Taekwondo Dojo - get Hwoarang as challenger.
Skyring: Get King as challenger.
Island Beach: Get Gon as challenger.
Junky Mansion - get Doctor Bostonovitch as challenger.
Forest: Get Yoshimitsu as challenger.
Tiger Dojo: Get Jin as challenger in training/his style clothes.
Chinese Street: Get Lei as challenger.

High School stage:
Unlock Jin or Xiaoyu's extra costume, then get themas challenger in that costume.

Record or replay combo:
Enter practice mode and choose the "Freestyle"selection. Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2+ Circle at the freestyle options screen. Then press Down+ Select to record or replay a combo.

Alternate ending pose:
Perform the following after defeating your opponenton any round. Hold X or Circle throughout the instantreplay. Your fighter will perform a special pose.

The last button pressed before you KO someone will determine thewinning pose at the end. For example, if you kick your opponentthe pose will differ from if you punch. Also, with Gun Jack, ifyou use a kick, he will fly up into the sky or ceiling of thesetting. This is strange in Jin's gym, where Gun Jack will seeminglybe going to hit the wooden roof, but instead you get a magnifiedclose up of it.

Alternate introduction sequence:
Complete the game with the ten base characters to viewan alternate introduction featuring the characters in their two-playermode costumes. For another alternate introduction, complete thegame with all characters including the secret characters.

Alternate background:
Complete arcade mode with all twenty-one characters,including Gon and Dr. Boskonovitch (you also may need to completeit with Tiger). The background in practice mode changes so thatTekken 3 and King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 scrolls across behindthe player selection boxes, which are now in the style of theversus board.

Alternate costumes:
Select arcade mode, highlight a fighter on the characterselection screen, and hold R1 + R2 + L1 +L2 until the timer reaches zero. Release the buttons whenboth fighters are displayed.

Alternatively, play as the desired character the indicated numberof times. Then, highlight that fighter on the character selectionscreen and press Start: Ling Xiaoyu (fifty times), JinKazama (fifty times), Anna Williams (twenty-five), Gunjack (ten).

Press Start or Triangle when selecting Law. He willfight in a yellow costume with a black stripe down the sides.This outfit looks rather like the biker outfit in one of BruceLee's epic films called "Game Of Death".

Highlight a character and press Square.

Highlight a fighter at the character selection screen. Allow thecontroller to remain idle and wait for the time to run out.

Basic costumes:
Go to a character's screen and press X or Circlefor the "outfit of their choosing". Press Squareor Triangle for their "best training outfit".If the character has a third outfit and you enable it, you canselect that instead of "best training outfit" if youpress Triangle.

Red and green colors:
Go to practice mode, then select one player free-stylemode. Turn everything on, go to mode select, then go to "ComboTraining" and press Start. Your characters shouldbe green, and when you attack you will become red. Note: You cango back to one player free-style if desired, and the colors willstill be there.

Random select in team battle mode:
Select team battle mode, choose the number of charactersfor your team, then press Start.

Quick exit:
During a fight or when selecting one of the modes,press Start + Select.

Infinite combo:
Enter practice mode and select King. Select combo practiceand choose combo 1. All you have to do is that combo, but withonly I Ali Kick (the sweep-like kick near the end). Then executethe combo repeatedly, with only one Ali Kick at a time. The gamewill go to a 99 Hit Count, before the counter resets and startsover.

Play as Gon. While fighting, stand next to your opponent and repeatedlydo the Woodpecker for an unlimited combo. Note this can be blocked.

Start taunts:
Hold Triangle or Square before a roundfor a taunt and X or Square for another taunt.

Hint: Power Moves:
Each character has at least one heavy damage unblockablemove (referred here as a "Power Move"). While the PowerMoves are the strongest special arts, they have a slow executiontime, leaving the character momentarily vulnerable to attack.You must set the shoulder buttons to the following combinationsin order for them to work:

Set L1 as LP + RP.
Set L2 as RP + LK.
Set R1 as LK + RK.
Set R2 as LP + RK.

To K.O. your opponent, hit him with the following movesin order. Take one step towards your opponent, then do the HandsOf Doom (Back, Triangle, Square, Triangle).When your opponent is trying to stand again, do the Slash Kickto send them flying. Then, do a Running Charge to finish themoff.

Press Circle + Triangle. Then press Circle+ Triangle. The move will do 100% damage if done correctly.

Hint: Bryan Fury: Super move:
This move does 72 points of damage. Press Back,then press Square + Circle. Bryan will crouch onone knee, bend the other, exert green energy, then will back handthem in the side of the head.

Hint: Bryan Fury: Power Kicks:
Press Circle or Forward, then Circle.

Hint: Doctor Boskonovitch: Super Doc move:
To make Doctor B. do his Super Doc move (which is notshown in the command list), press Circle + X + Away,then press Up. The doctor should go flying into the airbefore coming down near his opponent. This move does a surprisinglylarge amount damage to your opponent.

Hint: Gon: Fire proof:
The only character than is fireproof is Gon. When attackedwith fire he will just stand there and it will only do one pointof damage. This is true for both Gons.

Hint: Gon: Backflip Throw:
Hold or press Back, then press Square+ Triangle while standing very close to your opponent.You can also use this as an escape backflip.

Hint: Gon: Special Side Step:
Hold Back and the press X + Circle.Note: You can hold Back to keep moving.

Hint: Gon: Disco Punch:
Press Back then press Square. Gon willspin his arms, stand on one leg, move the other back, then leaninto the punch. This will send your opponent across the screen.

Hint: Gon: Repeating punch attack:
Press Square and immediately press Triangle+ Square repeatedly. If done correctly, Gon will do a punchcombo until you stop pressing Triangle + Square.Note: Sometimes Gon will do his fireball attack.

Hint: Gon: Super move:
Press Circle + Square. Gon will moveback slightly, then tackle the opponent with fire.

Hold Square + X and press Triangle. Lightningwill appear around Gon and he will charge at the enemy. Two hitsof this will do a KO.

Hint: Gon: Easy win:
Keep pressing Circle until it is a K.O.

Hint: Gun Jack: Moves:

Press Forward + Square + Circle. Gun Jackwill walk up to the opponent and hit them with his elbow. Note:This does full damage.

Press Forward(2), Triangle + X for an unlistedthrow. Also try Forward(2), Square + Triangle.

For a strong combo, crouch, then press Square(4). Immediatelyafterwards, press Square + Triangle two times todo a combo worth about 70 damage points.

Hint: Gun Jack: Good ending:
Successfully complete the game with Gun Jack in hissecret costume. To get his secret costume, play with Gun Jackfifty times in two player versus mode. Both players have to beGun Jack.

Hint: Gun Jack: Super move:
Make sure L1 is configured to "No use".During a match, keep on rotating the D-pad or the Analog-stickin circles while holding L1. You will see Gun Jack spinninghis arm around and you will also hear a voice saying one, two,three, four, five… On any on those numbers, quickly pressSquare to hit your opponent. If you press Squareon five, he will make full damage. Note: Make sure you press Squareimmediately after he says the number.

Hint: Hwoarang: Easy win:
In the very beginning of the match, take a quick stepforward and press X(2), Circle(2), X(2).Hwoarang will do four quick kicks, a low kick and then a strongroundhouse kick. This should take away most of their health. Ifthe roundhouse kick misses, quickly press Circle(4) todo another quick combo.

Hint: Hwoarang: Dynamite Heel:
Press Down/Back + Square + X.You should raise your foot straight up, give power effects, thenbring down your heel like a guillotine. Do this twice for a K.O.

Hint: Jin or King: Reverse punch or kick:
When playing as Jin or King, press Left, Triangle+ Circle to reverse a punch or kick.

Hint: Jin: As Boss:
Enter arcade mode and play as Heihachi Mishima fromthe Stage 9 Boss Stage (if available). Reach Stage 9, and becauseyou are Heihachi, you will fight Jin.

Hint: Julia: Triple power kick:
Go towards your opponent and press Circle(3).Note: This move is helpful when fighting Doctor Boskonovitch.

Hint: King: 100-hit combo:
Select practice mode and have King continuously dothe Three Ali Kicks. The hit counter will reset when it reaches100.

Hint: King: Special kick:
Quickly press Up(2) or Down(2) and doa side step. Then, press X + Circle. This kick takes60% of 100 damage and is not on the command list.

Hint: King: Defeating Doctor Boskonovitch:
Complete Tekken Force Mode as King four times. Afterthe fourth time, you will fight Doctor Boskonovitch with a oneminute time limit. To knock him down for the first time, use King'sDisgraceful Kick (Back + Circle). When he is down,you should be facing away from him. Next, do a Moonsault BodyPress (Square + Circle). Continue to repeat thisand look out for his attacks, some of which are quite powerful.

Select arcade mode and choose Law. Keep pressing Xand Circle. You should do good combos, by kicking youropponent, then doing a back flip kick.

Hint: Lee: Infinite kick combo:
Choose Ogre or True Ogre. While standing up from acrouching position, press X(3). There are multiple variations.For a Left Axekick press Up + X. For a Low Kick,press Down + X. The only way to stop this is tostop pressing X or by getting hit.

Hint: Mokujin: Puppet comparison:
Mokujin was not the first character to look like that.Before Mokujin, was a character found in Tobal No. 1 andTobal 2 known as Puppet. The only differences are thatMokujin is wider, and has only one iron ball fist -- Puppet hastwo of them.

Hold Down before each round that you use Mokujin.

Hint: Mokujin: Male and female differences:
You can tell if you are fighting the male or femaleby looking on top of their heads. The girl has a flower and theboy has a tree.

Hint: Paul: Fatal attack:
Press Back + Square + Triangle.Paul will bring back his arm and it will glow. If timed correctly,he will punch the opponent and do major damage. Note: This hasno effect in Tekken Ball mode.

Hint: Tiger: Special ending:
Complete Arcade mode with Tiger (Eddy Gordo's 70'sstyle alter ego) to view an ending featuring a funky disco danceroutine along to some 70's disco music.

Hint: Xiaoyu: Opponent trick:
Play as Xiaoyu and execute her Basic Throw A on youropponent. Immediately press Triangle quickly and repeatedlyafter pressing the buttons for the move. If done correctly, youropponent will get up the wrong way.

Hint: Xiaoyu: Infinite combo:
Use the Raccoon Swing (Forward, Forward,X) followed by Mistrust (Circle while facing backwards).Your opponent should fall on the ground. Keep doing these moves.You should keep hitting them while they on the ground until theyare defeated or you miss a move.

Yoshimitsu Sword Slicer: Press Down/Back + Square.
Meditator Teleport: (During the "Meditation" move) PressSquare or Forward.
Yoshimitsu Deadly Blade: Press Back(2), Circle.
Fatal Kick: Press Back(2), Square.
Yoshimitsu Death Wish: Press Forward(2), Square+ Triangle.
Poison Breath: Hold Back then press Square + Triangle.
Forward Slash: Press Forward(2), Triangle + X.
Foot plus sword combo: Press Forward(2), X, Square.

Hint: Escape Backflips:
When playing as Xiaoyu, Nina, Yoshimitsu, Eddy/Tiger,Anna, or Mukojin press Up/Back to do Backflip.

Hint: Unblockable attack:
If you knock your opponent to the floor so that theyfall quite a way, tap Forward(2) to run, then as you getnear, press X. You will lunge at them (usually, as somecharacters are different) and if timed correctly, they cannotblock or move out of the way.

Hint: Avoid throw:
To avoid many throws, just press Square or Triangleat the correct moment. This will not work with certain throws.

Hint: Power up:
To execute more damage, press X + Circle+ Square + Triangle. If done correctly, your characterchange color and be vulnerable to attack. However, your characterwill have blue limbs and cause a counter attack for more damage.

Hint: Defeating Doctor Boskonovich:
Always try to trip him if he is standing. Low kickswill do the job.

Hint: Defeating True Ogre:
When you get to True Ogre in arcade mode, kick him,then when he runs at you, kick again. Do not move -- just waitfor him to come to you. Kick/Punch until a KO.

Hint: Easy kills on crows and owls andlevel enemy:
In Tekken Force mode, kicks will do heavy damage oncrows, owls, and level enemies.

Hint: Easy third costumes:
Set the game on one round then choose versus mode.Select Jin vs. Xiayu 48 times. After 47 battles, Xiayu will gether third costume. In the next battle Jin also will get his costume.To get Gunjack's third costume, select Gunjack vs. Gunjack inversus mode 6 times. To get Anna's third costume, select Annavs. Anna 14 times in versus mode. To save their costumes, playarcade mode one time in their third costumes.

Hint: Practice mode colors:
Select practice mode and choose your characters. Goto "Player 1 Freestyle" and turn "Hit Analysis"and "Attack Data" on. Your players will be green andwill turn red when they attack.

Hint: Soul Edge reference:
In Bryan's or Paul's stage, in the background onthe gray wall is red graffiti which spells out "Soul Edge",the first game in the Soul Calibur series made by Namco.
