Hint: Easy money:
Once you have completed all "Capture the Bomber"races, race the Hong Kong track with the TVR cop car. Before therace begins, accelerate to just below the red. Fully acceleratewhen the announcer says "Go" to prevent peeling out.Race to the left of the bomber until very close, then rear-endand side-swipe him. You should win within about 4 seconds andget an easy $2,500. If not, restart the race and repeat thosesteps.
Get a high price car to start with. Go to pink slip mode and raceyourself, but make sure player one wins. When you save and exit,only save the player one status (only one memory card needed),then reset the game. You should now have the same car twice. Repeatto get a lot of cars and money.
Hint: Get cars out of the way:
When driving in challenges or other modes in whichyou race against oncoming traffic, beep the horn so the cars moveout of the way. Note: Beeping the horn may sometimes cause thetraffic to run into you.
Hint: Best car:
The best car is, not surprisingly, the one that sellsfor $1 million. not surprisingly. When fully upgraded, its accelerationwill be around 0-60 in almost 1 second. For a large speed record,go to Paris. After the first two sharp turns, carefully maneuveryour car through the slight turns ahead to ultimately gain massivespeed (up to 270 mph) before the next sharp turn.
Hint: Stay on track:
When you are going around a sharp corner at high speeds,you will often go off of the track and lose speed and risk oflosing your place in the race. To prevent this, simply let offthe gas completely at the middle of the corner until you startto skid. Do not panic. When you start to skid, accelerate againand you should regain control. Straighten yourself out and youcan get to your top speed faster than if maintained the same speedthroughout the entire turn.
Hint: Class 4 cars:
In Class 4, the best car is the Nissan R390 Gt-1.
Hint: Upgrades:
On every Class 4 car, you should add two steering upgrades. On every one below it, add at least one.
Hint: Faster stops and sharper turns:
Press L2 with a car with an automatic transmissionfor a faster stop or a sharper turn.
