Hint: Beach to Harbor:
Note: Ignore the suspect, and if you are about to die,quit and then restart with the new place you unlocked. Make aright, then take the road down. Once you pass the I-112 southsign, make a right, then another right. You should be going north.Once you are on the highway, take the bridge over and then getoff. Take the road halfway to unlock the Harbor.

Hint: Harbor to the Industrial Area:
Note: Ignore the suspect, and if you are about to die,quit and then restart with the new place you unlocked. Take theroad down back to the highway. Make a right. Take the road downto the next right. You have unlocked the Industrial Area.

Hint: Industrial Area to Airport:
Make a right and small right into the driveway. Makea U-turn and then turn left. Take the small road to the highway.Make a right onto the highway. Take the highway down. Once yousee a picture of a airplane, get off the highway. Take that roaddown. Once you pass the right turn you are going to take the roaddown. Make a small right off the road. Take the road down to unlockthe Airport.

Hint: Airport to Suburbs:
Note: Ignore the suspect, and if you are about to die,quit and then restart with the new place you unlocked. Take theroad down to the first left. When you come out of the tunnel,make a small left onto the other road you came off. Take thatroad down. Once you pass the downtown sign make a left. You havenow unlocked the Suburbs.

Hint: Suburbs to Academy:
Note: Ignore the suspect, and if you are about to die,quit and then restart with the new place you unlocked. Take theroad down and make a right. Take the road down. Note: The roadwill be on train tracks. Once you pass the four fences, slow down,make a left, and then a right followed by a left. Note: If yougo the wrong way, you will hit a gate. Take the road down. Passthe other nine fences and make a small right off the train tracks.Take the road down. When the road comes to a end make a left.Take the road down and make a left. Take the road down. You havenow unlocked the Academy.

Hint: Academy to China Town:
Note: Ignore the suspect, and if you are about to die,quit and then restart with the new place you unlocked. Make aU-turn. Make a right. At the light make a right. At the secondlight make a left. Take the road down to unlock China Town.

Hint: China Town to Stadium:
Once you pass the Nils sign (red background), makea left over the bridge. When you pass the Villapark sign, makea right. Make a small left out of the shortcut, and then takethe road down. You now have unlocked the Stadium.

Hint: Stadium to the Donut Plaza:
Note: Ignore the suspect, and if you are about to die,quit and then restart with the new place you unlocked. Make aU-turn. At the second light, make a right. At the light make aleft. Take the road down. When you see two trees, make a left.Take the road down to the second light, then make a right. Takethe road down until you see a Jimbos donut store. You have unlockedthe Donut Plaza.

Hint: Donut Plaza to Church:
Make a U-turn in the parking lot. Take the road down(the one you took to get to the Donut Plaza). Make a left at thelight. Make another left at the light. Take the road all the waydown to make a right. Take the road down until you see the CrownHill sign. At the light, make a left. Go up the hill (past theone floor store) and make the first right. At the end of the road,make a left. Take the road down until you see the church (on theleft).

Hint: Church to Gas Station:
Make a U-turn. Take the first right and then make aright. Take the road down to the bottom of the hill. At the light,make a right. Pass the downtown sign and make a right. Take thehighway down (stay in the right lane). A new lane will start --follow it. You should see a picture of a gas pump and a telephone.Turn right to get off the highway to unlock the Gas Station. Quitand check free patrol. If done correctly, "Random" willbe there if all locations were unlocked.

Hint: Final Showdown mission:
Start by turning on your siren and follow the arrow.Avoid taking any damage and drive past the red dot on your citymap. You should see a police cruiser chasing the white limo thatLou Ferris (Mad Bomber from Mission 11 and Mission 17) enteredat the start of the mission. Take out your machine gun, try toget ahead of the police cruiser, aim, and fire at the white limo.Do not use the rocket launcher because it may damage you and othercars, and cause the mission to fail. Keep shooting at the whitelimo with the machine gun and you will be able to apprehend LouFerris and two other suspects with him and complete the game.

Hint: Tank Rush mission:
Go to the tank. After you locate it, do not shoot it.Instead, go to the stadium and you will get the bazooka. Then,go to the tank and shoot it with the bazooka. You will have enoughtime to destroy the tank before it reaches the stadium.

When you first start the mission, equip you machine gun, thengo to the tank. Wait until it appears, then shoot it until itpasses you. Turn around and follow it. Sticking to the tank isrecommended, as he cannot shoot you. Keep shooting the tank untilyour machine gun runs out of ammunition, then equip the shotgun.Keep shooting it until you get permission to use the bazooka.Then, equip the bazooka and shoot it. Three to four shots shouldtake out the tank. You will be ordered to take out the other tank.Get the APC and locate the other tank. Get close to the tank.Approaching from side is best, but if you can get very close behindit, you can take it out easily.

Hint: Get the ambulance to the hospital:
Do not head towards the flashing dot in the southwestof the city. Instead, look at the city map for the other hospitalon the central eastern side of the city. You should make it therewith about a minute to spare.

Hint: Chasing suspects in free patrol mode:
When chasing a suspect in free patrol mode, if youare on the motorway do not drive in the lane closest to the side,as when other cars hear your siren they will drive into that lane.Instead, drive in the lane closest to the center.

When pursuing a suspect while in free patrol mode, shoot a civiliancar that is ahead of the suspect. If you hit it in the correctplace at the right time, the civilian car will swerve in frontof the suspect and cause major damage and/or slow it down.

Hint: Catching fugitives:
Your police car will always be faster than the suspect.If you need to get beside him, go around his side.

Hint: Avoiding damage:
If you are chasing someone, it is easy to get themsurrounded in a corner. However, do not keep on crashing intothem by holding X. This will damage you more than the suspect.

Hint: Rocket launcher:
Be careful when firing the rocket launcher when closeto something or the blast will damage your vehicle. You can getthe rocket launcher in free patrol mode by getting a commendation(Bonus Item #17, Law) on Mission 17.

Hint: Big jump:
Ignore the suspect; if you are about to die, restart.Go to headquarters, if you are not there already. Take a rightturn out of headquarters. Keep going straight. Go through the"alley". When you see a parking lot to your right, goinside it. Once inside, take a left (so you will not hit the wall).Go straight and there should be a "square box". Go downthe parking lot and make sure the front of the car is facing thefront of the box. Hit the gas as hard as possible and hit the"box". You will fly straight into a wall.

Hint: Expert mode:
Go to the display screen in the options menu and turnoff the map, car indicator and arrow.

Hint: No broken lights:
When you are in a chase in free patrol mode and donot have any damage to your car, use the rocket launcher and hitthe car at close range. This should damage your car slightly andgive it a blown up look, but through the rest of the time in freepatrol mode, none of you lights can be broken.
