Hint: Title Screen Fun On the title screen the L3 button changes the pattern in the background. R1 speeds up action and R2 slows it down. L1 switches the black silhouette from the foreground to the background and L2 changes the color of the silhouette. L3 changes the color of the pattern in the background. Fire Support At any time during game play, on the second part, Snake Eater, go to your codec menu and tune to station 140.73, and call it. This will call in fire support but you will not be allowed to do this more than once. Because the station will not be used again. Believe me, I saved my game, then used it just to play around and then shut it off. Then I went to use it again later and it wouldn't work. So, do not use this unless in dire need. More Stuff Before You Start Your Mission After Snake goes back to the jungle the second time, Major Zero will tell you to head North. Well, instead of heading North, go South. There are NO enemy soldiers on the way back, just a few snakes and crocks! But anyway, go all the way back to where you started the first time to find some good items, and a certain flower that can come in handy. You will need to cut it from the ground to obtain it. This is no cheat, it was just my luck of going the wrong way, and I was able to find more things. You can easily find your way back to where you need to be. Just follow the path North again. Easy stuff. Raiden Mask At the start when you choose new game a question comes up. If you choose "I like MGS2!" then when you start you will see Raiden but its really snake who takes off the mask and when you start playing go into camo and put on the mask. Unlock Special "Frog" Camo Shoot each frog in each area to unlock a secret camo Non Lethal Camo Beat all the bosses without using lethal force to earn a special camo Surviving "The Sorrow" When the game over Screen comes on use the REVIVAL PILL... If you've died at least 3 times in this part, Call anyone on your Codec and they will tell you this. Unlock EZ Gun You must capture all types of animals and plants in the game, you dont have to eat them and they can be rotten, and once you have captured one you can discard it from your backpack because it has been recorded as it having been caputred, there are 47 in total to be captured. Taming the Bees After getting the hornet stripe camo (defeating The Pain via staminakill) you have the ability to "tame" bees while wearing the hornetstripe uniform. Heres how you do it (while wearing hornet stripe camo):Shoot down a beehive while underneath it (or close enough to it so thebees fall NEAR you). The bees will then be swarming around you! Now goattack some enemys (or go near them) so they can feel the pain. Defeating Volgin Defeating Volgin on top of the Shagohod is the same as fighting it the first time. Take out your RPG and aim for the treads. When you hit the treads, you will stun the Shagohod and leave a window open to do damage to Volgin. You cannot hurt him unless you shoot him in the sides of the back. Make sure you are close enough to get behind him and unload with any gun. Do this to make quick work of Volgin.
