The entire city of Los Angeles is your playground as you speed through the streets, parking lots, and back alleys in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, all on your way to becoming the most notable racer in the city. As a new arrival on the racing scene, you're going to need to earn REP for others to take you seriously, and earn the right to upgrade your ride or purchase an even better one. Reputation Points can be earned by completing any task or race in MCLA, regardless of what position you finish. Midnight Club Los Angeles features over 40 vehicles from 4 different classes. Tuner, Luxury, Exotic and Muscle cars as well as Bikes are available to race throughout the game. All cars can be fully customized in one of two garages found in the game. Rockstar barrel cheats:
Unlock the listed cheat by collecting the corresponding amount of hidden rockstar barrels. Enabling a cheat will stop your progress in career mode and the earning of money and reputation in races.

Never Damage Out - 20 rockstar barrels
No Fines - 60 rockstar barrels
No Police - 50 rockstar barrels
Top Down View - 40 rockstar barrels
Unlimited Nitro - 10 rockstar barrels
Unlimited Special Abilities - 30 rockstar barrels

Unlock the listed performance upgrade by reaching the listed rank.

Level 1, Group 1 Vehicles - Earn the "navigator" rank (800 reputation).
Level 1, Group 2 Vehicles - Earn the "driver" rank (5,600 reputation).
Level 1, Group 3 Vehicles - Earn the "elite racer" rank (13,700 reputation).
Level 1, Group 4 Vehicles - Earn the "savant" rank (22,760 reputation).
Level 2, Group 1 Vehicles - Earn the "rookie" rank (3,610 reputation).
Level 2, Group 2 Vehicles - Earn the "veteran" rank (10,760 reputation).

Unlockable vehicle groups:
Unlock the listed vehicle group by reaching the corresponding rank.

Group 2 vehicles - Earn the "student driver" rank (2,000 reputation).
Group 3 vehicles - Earn the "racer" rank (8,060 reputation).
Group 4 vehicles - Earn the "champion" rank (16,500 reputation).

Infinite money:
Beat career mode.

Unlock Karol garage partner mission:
Get 'Idol' rank(33,500 reputation).

Unlock hydraulics and air bags:
Join the rockstar social club and link to your online profile. Complete 4 of the 12 driving test achievements to unlock hydraulics and air bags for your online profile.

Easy rank and money:
In arcade mode go to the options and disable power-ups, traffic to 'none', and set the AI to 'easy'.

Getting rid of police:
After finishing a race enable the "No Police" cheat and then disable it. The police will disappear and you will keep your money and reputation.

Catch freeway racer:
When there is a red target far ahead on the map, enable the "Unlimited Nitro", and "No Damage" cheats to catch him. Then, disable the cheats just before you are about to race him to keep your reputation and money.

Easy highway battle wins:
Before starting a highway battle, build up speed while behind the opponent.While passing the car flash your lights to start the race. You will have a big head start.

Fast starts:
Right before the race starts, do a burnout by pressing gas and engaging the e-brake.Release the e-brake when there are 3 or 4 bars left in the countdown timer. This will give you a big boost off of the line every time.

Skip traveling:
Go into the race editor and switch off drive and drop mode. Move the pointer to the desired location and turn drive and drop mode back on.When you exit the race editor you will be at the selected location.
