Prototype
Unlock body surf ability:
To unlock the "Body Surf" ability, go to "Main Menu" > "Extras" > "Cheats" and enter right, right,left, down, up, up, up, down.
New Game+:
Complete story mode to replay with all of the powers and upgrades you've already obtained.
Unlock hard mode:
Complete the game on normal mode to unlock hard mode.
Unlock platinum events:
Earn a gold in all events to unlock platinum events, which are more difficult.
Unlock secret story event:
Complete all scientist consume events to reveal Karen Parker's location.
Unlimited EP:
On mission 22/31, after stealing the black ops helicopter, do not destroy the Hive when prompted. You can use the helicopter for as long as you want with its unlimited ammo. Switch to Infected Vision and blow up infected water towers to easily gain EP.
You now have a helicopter with unlimited missiles, no time limit, and as long as you don't destroy the Hive, you can blow up anything else without it kicking off the alert meter. This also allows you to get out of the helicopter without it ending the mission.
Orb XP bonuses:
Collect the listed amount of orbs to gain the corresponding amount of experience for collecting each following orb.
Landmark orbs
- 1 orb - 2,600 XP each
- 10 orbs - 5,000 XP each (+10,000 bonus)
- 25 orbs - 9,750 XP each (+25,000 bonus)
- 100 orbs - 15,000 XP each (+50,000 bonus)
- 125 orbs - 17, 250 XP each (+60,000 bonus)
- 150 orbs - 20,000 XP each (+70,000 bonus)
Hint orbs
- 1 orb - 5,000 XP each
- 10 orbs - 7,500 XP each (+10,000 bonus)
- 15 orbs - 12,500 XP each (+25,000 bonus)
- 35 orbs - 15,000 XP each (+50,000 bonus)
Collectible Vision
It's sometimes difficult to spot Landmark and Hint Collectibles. Switch on your Infected Vision (or Thermal Vision) to help discern them.
Mind the Crows
Infected water towers are always circled by squawking crows. This makes it easier to track them down
Smooth Landing Speed Boost
After jumping, avoid using both of your dashes while airborne and save one to use just before landing. If timed correctly, you should hit the ground at near full speed, which is very useful when attempting to evade the military or during a timed activity. Note: This doesn't work for the highest of drops.
Thermobaric Tank
First you must unlock the Kill Event called "Rolling Thunder," which appears between the East Village and the Lower East Side (one block from the East coast). Right next to the Event is a Thermobaric Tank. Jumping into it will activate the Event, but you can back out of it before the Event begins. Do this correctly and you'll have a free tank. Note: If you exit the tank it or use it to destroy a Hive or Base it will vanish. You can grab it again at the Event point.
Trophies
Complete each requirement to get the specified Trophy.
- Au (Silver) - Achieve a rating of gold or better in all events
- Brain Trust (Bronze) - Complete all consume events
- Cleanup (Bronze) - Kill 15 characters with a single whipfist attack
- Endless Hunger (Silver) - Consume 200 characters to boost your health
- Evolutionary step (Bronze) - Use the upgrade menu to acquire an upgrade
- Gunning (Bronze) - Destroy 20 helicopters in a single helicopter flight
- Half-Truths (Bronze) - Complete a mission without causing a single military alert
- Hard To Kill (Gold) - Complete story mode in any difficulty without dying
- In Plain Sight (Bronze) - Evade 10 strike teams
- In The Web (Bronze) - Consume 50 web targets
- Infiltrator (Bronze) - Infiltrate 10 military bases disguised as a commander
- It’s Him! (Bronze) - Patsy 5 military personnel
- Mankind is your mask (Silver) - Complete 3 missions without causing a single military alert
- Misconception (Bronze) - Destroy 25 infected water towers before they hatch
- Nice Guy (Silver) - Complete the game while consuming 10 civilians or fewer
- Platinum Trophy Collect all other trophies
- Polymath (Silver) - Collect all hint collectibles scattered across New York City
- Pt (Gold) - Achieve a platinum medal in all events
- Repossession (Bronze) - Seize 50 vehicles from enemy hands
- Return Fire (Bronze) - Catch any object tossed by a hydra; and throw it back
- Revenge Revisited (Gold) - Complete story mode on hard difficulty
- Self-Deception (Bronze) - Discover what happened to Alex Mercer through the web of intrigue
- SME (Bronze) - Gain the ability to drive and fly all vehicles
- Speed Bumps (Bronze) - Run over 500 characters in a single tank
- Streetwise (Silver) - Collect all landmark collectibles scattered across New York City
- Surface-To-Air (Bronze) - Shoot down 50 helicopters while driving armor
- The butcher (Silver) - Kill 50 characters in 5 seconds
- The Cleaner (Silver) - Destroy 10 military bases or infected hives in New York City
- The First Thread (Bronze) - Unlock the web of intrigue
- Threat Elevated (Bronze) - Destroy 25 strike teams
