Hint: Valkyrie cheer:
Save the game, then intentionally allow the Valkyrieto kill Katarina without the Valkyrie getting any damage duringthe battle.
Hint: Slippery slopes:
Try the following if you are having problems tryingto climb sand dunes and grassy slopes when attempting to get atreasure. It takes a little patience, but the secret is to findthe path of least resistance and run up the slope (sometimes atan angle) until you get to the point just before you start toslide back. Then do a jump flip and continue to do so until youreach the top. The hardest part is keeping Kat faced in a forwarddirection, but with some practice you can do it. The best placeto practice is on Ape Island -- there is a treasure chest sittingright next to the big Tiki Idol.
Hint: Defeating Blackbeard:
Look on every island until you find a man with a strawhut. If you have enough money, buy as many throwing knifes aspossible. They will be useful when you are in Scoundrels Pit.Among your things to do will be to defeat Blackbeard. Once youdefeat all of the pirates, a portal will open that will lead directlyto Blackbeard's hideout. After Blackbeard stops talking, you willfight him. Notice the skulls at the top of the screen. That indicatesBlackbeard's life meter. If you throw all of the knifes at him,he will be much easier to defeat than if you used your sword.
Hint: Defeating crabs:
Use the Freezing Tiki to slow the crab down. Move awayto keg throwing range. Then throw the keg, flip it over, thenquickly throw a Vampire Skull. It will take about four and a halfminutes to kill it.
Hint: Defeating the giant crab:
Buy lots of Gunpowder Kegs from the Smuggler beforedoing this. Start by hacking away at the crab. It will hit you,but eventually you will daze it. When it is dazed throw a GunpowderKeg at it. It will become flipped on its back, exposing a weakunderbelly. Slash at it until it flips over again. Repeat theprocess until it is defeated.
